Going to the Chapel of Love

Chroma Zed

Sophia and @[member="Josiah Denko"] had always talked of having a big wedding and inviting all of their friends and family. It would be a big affair in which the whole confederacy would be involved. That was of course only talk as the couple never got around to actually planning anything. They were much too busy with their various responsibilities to have time to plan for such things. The free time they did have together was always spent with their daughter and if not they just wished to relax not plan table arrangements. As such they kept pushing it further and further back.

As they were messaging back and forth one night while he was away they made a decision to just get married on one of their rare date nights. They didn't need the wedding of the century or anything extravagant to show their love. The only thing that really matter was each other. She only needed him by her side not a fancy dress. Words couldn't describe how much she loved and cherished Josiah. She knew by his words and actions that he felt the same.

Sophia had found herself a wedding dress to fit the occasion after that. It wasn't the one that she would have had if they were going to have been public but this worked for her. It was perfect as she really had never been a flashy sort of person to begin with.

He was to meet her at the chapel that they had picked out for their date. Sophia thought that they could get married and than have the rest of the evening for each other. After all you were not supposed to see the bride on your wedding day. The fact that they hadn't seen each other in months just made it that much more special.

Taking a deep breath she looked into the mirror as she ran her hands down her dress trying to shake off the nerves. Sophia had knots in her stomach worried about him showing up. He could have gotten pulled away at the last second. She lightly shook her head taking a deep breath. No, he would be here as she knew he would. It was silly to think otherwise.

Falling in love with Sophia had been...unexpected, to say the least. When Josiah had left the Republic for the first time, it was in response to his heart having been utterly decimated. He had a love, one long since lost, who was slain at the hands of the Empire. The Jedi instructed him not to mourn. The Republic refused to take the fight to the enemy. Left with no other option, Josiah left and attempted to find his own way of fighting back. He hunted down old enemies and fought until he was sick of battle...and then the Force guided him south. He became apart of the Templar Order and would eventually take Sophia Walsh on as his student. She was bright, beautiful, strong, and determined; all things that made Josiah want to teach her as best he could.

Then, one day, feelings began to develop and soon blossomed into a relationship. From then on, she healed his heart and soul and became the literal center of his life. She loved him, just as much as he loved her; and even gave him a daughter! Now, he had an opportunity to put it all into words...they were finally to exchange vows and be wed. Now, this was not the fairy tale wedding that they had originally planned; but obligations had a funny way of throwing a wrench into such things. Between Josiah's missions as a Jedi Master, Sophia's obligations as Viceroy, and the upbringing of their daughter, they simply did not have the time to spend on such an occasion. So, they decided to look at what was important: their love, and resolved to get married in a private setting.

When the day finally arrived, Josiah found himself standing at the alter with a horde of butterflies assaulting his stomach. He was garbed in a rented, finely-tailored tuxedo and stood with his hands folded in front of him. The chaplain stood ready, awaiting the arrival of the bride; and Josiah stood, awaiting the arrival of the love of his life. He was waiting for her, and waiting to spend the rest of his days with her.

Sophia was a ball of nerves as she heard the music play meaning the start of the ceremony. The woman had no idea why she was so nervous as she had been waiting for this day for a long time. She wanted to be his the rest of the days of her life. Sophia was more sure of herself in this decision than any other that she had made so her nerves were silly yet they were there.

Stepping into the aisle Sophia was dressed in a floor length flowing white dress. It was sleeveless with little chiffon beading sequins on the top. In her hands she held a little bouquet of various flowers. The dress wasn't anything too fancy but Sophia felt that it was prefect. She couldn't have asked for anything better. As she looked down the aisle all her nerves and fears seemed to disappear as she saw her love Josiah. A smile appeared on her face as she began to walk down the aisle to meet him. Seeing him again made her heart skip a beat and she was feeling like a giggly little school girl again.

Stopping in front of him she couldn't help but still smile as she turned to face him. "You look very handsome," she said taking his hands into hers. Sophia wanted to so kiss him right now but it wasn't time for that part yet was it?
