Gods of Iron (GA dominion of Yag'dhul)

Objective: Tie everything up

It was done. A large number of the Givin population was still aboard the Harvest ships. While the alliance forces had managed to gain a foothold on Yag'dhul, and a save a number of lives below, they could not stop the operation all together. This other group, the unknown fleet ([member="Friedrich Stahlmann"]) tore one of the Dreadnoughts apart. That was enough to keep the Monitor from being greedy.

"We have finished here. Recall the fleet."

"The Servitors on the ground?"

"Recall those that you can. The rest will fight until they are all destroyed. It should keep the primitives occupied."

The command went off without a hitch. Moments later, the Harvest ships recalled the elevators. One moment they were linked to the planet below, the next they were free to move. Shortly thereafter, the Harvest ships would jump to hyperspace, the Dreadnoughts following shortly thereafter. Their destination unknown, and with those still aboard the Harvest ships as captives, the Architects left Yag'dhul to its business.

(Dominion over. Nice going folks! For those of you that came aboard the Architect ships, feel free to...well, not be there. Otherwise there will be a thread going up about those captured, and their possible escape.)

The battle was over.

Gould watched as the shattered remnants of a pair of enemy dreadnaughts flared and spun in space. It had been a victory…of sorts. Two enemy capital ships destroyed, dozens of enemy fighters laid waste, minimal losses among her campaign.

And yet…the enemy had dozens more dreadnaughts, thousands more fighters, and they had still taken much of the population away. When put like that it was not such a glorious moment.

“Alliance, this is Gould, we’re moving in towards the planet to offer assistance where we can.”

She was conflicted. Perhaps she should have done more, but charging into the massive enemy swarm would have only destroyed her command and the enemy still would have walked away. No, as allies she had done her job, but would have wanted more.

There would be retribution though. The Coalition and Alliance would work together, learn from this, and one day it would be the Architects broken and scattered to the astral winds.
