Courscant. It was one of the few places that Luna hated to frequent. The large, shiny buildings, decadent fashions, and mindless politicians never seemed to fix anything that was wrong with the Galaxy. But thankfully, she wouldn’t have to be topside, for long. The young Smuggler, landing her ship amongst the others in the large spaceport, looked over at Happy who seemingly was quiet for once. Perhaps it had been the overwhelming sense of dread that had been looming over her the past several days or the lack of sleep that was making her less of herself. Whatever it was, Luna popped a few of her usual pain tablets before making her way to the ship’s entrance.

“I don’t know how long I’m going to be gone, Happy. Gotta be careful. My contact says someone else is out looking for the drop, as well. Gonna beat the little fracker there, I’ll tell you that.” Making sure her vibroblade was in place on the holster on her thigh and her blaster on her hip, she gave a deep sigh before finishing the bottle of ale that had been left out on the galley’s counter, taking a long drink of whatever was left in it.

Something felt foreboding. The young Smuggler couldn’t put her finger on what it was but it was something she hadn’t felt in a long time. It had also been the first time she questioned taking on a job, despite the credit amount. There was a chance there’d be another; not just for the credits but Luna had been advised that whatever this other being wanted it for wasn’t good. “Well, here goes nothing.” She didn’t bother to say bye to Happy or give her usual banter. Instead, in the cover of darkness, Luna stepped off the ramp, indecisive about lifting a speeder or asking for a ride to the lower levels of Courscant.

Hadion Fare

Totally your mom's new boyfriend
The music in The Dirty Blonde was plain thumping. The proximity alert had been sounding for a while, indicating the ships impending exit from hyperspace into the busy traffic lanes above the city planet of Coruscant, but Hadion had been lost in the dance. He had just dropped his galaxy defining dance move 'The Tygarian Bum Shuttle' when he reached the cockpit and saw the light flashing.

"OH. SITHSPIT!"

The last few steps to the pilots chair were crossed in a flash, and he was tapping consoles and flicking levers feverishly. His head was buried in his work so much that he failed to notice that he had exited hyperspace just a second earlier. He glanced up, eyes widening and hands pulling the steering column to the right to avoid a bulk freighter by only a few dozen meters. Abusive chatter came across the comm system, but the music was too loud still for him to hear any of it.

"Another perfect voyage!" He declared while spinning to slap the console on the wall behind him in order to turn the music off. Was it off? Yes? No? There was certainly still a thumping in his head? Or was that his heart? Hadion had already spun back around in his chair, and was feeling chest and head to insure they were indeed thumping...but it was easing. Just the remnants of the joys of real music. He grinned, satisfied that he wasn't having some sort of heart attacky thingy.

The journey to Coruscant's surface was about as unexciting as it had ever been. Just sit in your lane and peel off once your declared vector was reached, join the specific air space lane and don't go off course till your destination was reached. It was about the most preplanned and organized way to fly as you could imagine. So, by the time Hadion landed, and began his on descent from his boarding ramp, a persistent yawn had taken over. Because seriously, flying on Coruscant was boring.

Holdout blaster attached to his thigh, and requisite duster kicking up behind his boots jawnty steps, Hadion hit the bottom of the ramp with a grin that seemed destined to never part of his face. Half walking, half skipping across the landing pad, he did note another ship nearby, but thought nothing off it. Sure, there was someone else on the job, or so he heard. Some rival Hutt's hire to do the same job. But Hadion had a head start. The Dirty Blonde would have outrun anyone to Coruscant.

HIs eyes locked on a posterior that seemed awfully reminscent of someone...he had just..."Oh...hell no," he blurted, while going for his holdout as quickly as he could.

Luna had finally set her sights on a rather unassuming speeder that had been left outside of a docked freighter. Making sure that no one was around, she made her way casually over to her choice of transportation, giving another long glance around before bending in, pulling off the inner panel, and looking for the two wires that would help get the engine going. “Got you…” She mumbled as she yanked two particular wires before tapping them together, sparks birthed from the wires and causing the speeder to roar to life. Giving a rather satisfied grin, Luna went to pull her head out from under the dashboard when she heard a rather familiar voice. "Oh...hell no."

Pulling herself out quicker than anything else, she spotted a familiar figure to go along the same familiar voice. She squinted in the dark, finally realizing who she was looking at. It was none other than Hadion; a Freelancer that she had come across on Nar Shaddaa only a few weeks or so ago. She recalled after the pair had spent some...time together that he had mentioned his own job. Was he the one the Hutt had warned her about? Groaning some, she didn’t wait another moment before hopping in the now warmed-up speeder before taking off down into the lower levels of Coruscant.

Air rushing by, the young Smuggler did her best to keep from running over patrons or other speeders as she went. Her white hair whipping around in the wind as she could hear cursing and yelling from Patrons as she went. Level 1313 was less than savory but it was one that Luna knew well. It was a way downward, still but she kept up her speed, looking behind her from time to time to see if she was, indeed, being followed.

If Hadion had been on Coruscant on the simple fact of irony, she felt a tinge of guilt on the fact that she had taken off like a loth-bat out of Mustafar. If not, well, he had a few things coming to him if he thought he’d get his hands on the drop. She hated to think of Hadion as someone who meant ill will and while their time spent together was brief, Luna liked to think she had a good judge of character. But beings sometimes were desperate for a few extra credits and that was a given fact. “Hey, watch out, moth-” The words were cut off as a random being screamed at her as Luna narrowly missed him, emerald eyes set on her destination below.
