Gloves are underrated

A T R O P O S
In a Datapad

Looking past various resources I was given to study. Isely pushed me much harder since I had come back from my hunting trip. I was working non stop, and I was not allowed to go out on any operations or do anything special. I was to work, and to learn. It was my "house arrest" until I could prove that I was worthy to go back out into the field. First it was sending me to hunt a Zakkeg without an arm, now its working without breaks. Gotta love the mando traditions right?

As much as he was rough on me, I found him to act like my second father. I could tell he had some kind of feelings towards me. Mentioned that I acted like he once did when he was younger. I don't know how he and I were the same considering I was doing different things with the force than he did, I just agreed.

He told me, he wanted me to do something to prove my worth. So now, I find myself with various datapads around the table that I had collected from the wealth of the library. Currently? I was researching things that other Mandalorians have done in the past to prove their worth. Most of it? Killing a beast, or besting the man who gave them that task in combat. Thats not Isely's way. He was different. He wanted something with more sustenance.

I then found out what I needed to do.

Isely is known for making gear and armor and weapons out of the force. What was it again?

Scouring through more books, I found what I needed.

Sith Alchemy.

Reading into this, I knew Isely had mastery over this art of the force. The ability to modify items such as metal, crystals, and even animals or beings to have a desired effect. Making a creature become more deadly. Making a crystal become more potent in a lightsaber. Or change someone for the worse. Having a really bad side effect that can harm someone. Hell, it didn't even stop there. There were so many times that it was listed as possibly being Sith alchemy, I didn't know where to look for what information I needed.

I thought it was a lost cause when I told myself I needed to continue. I wanted to do something other than sit here and study. I wanted to use my saber. I wanted to use my hand cannon. I wanted to feel hot blood in my veins and adrenaline pumping through my limbs. My metalic hand grabbed another datapad about sith alchemy. Particularly in altering textiles.

Reading more, I smiled a little. There was a list of possible items that were created from Sith alchemy. Many of them were powerful, and some were lost in time. However, there were a few that I wanted to look at. One that was about a Sith Lord by the name of Crassus. I had to know more. My metallic finger slid from right to left. Moving page after page as I read more information about Sith alchemy as a whole, and holding the page about this Crassus.

After going over a lot of it, I grabbed my own datapad, and began to write, and construct ideas in what I need to do.

Crassus was not really know other than for his left handed gauntlet. One that increased his physical power, as well as his telekinetic prowess tenfold. Such a powerful artifact that was supposedly lost to time once more. If an artifact can be created once, cant it be replicated?

My father was a Master at Telekinesis. He was powerful enough to float and even send himself flying. Let alone making his battle hammer fly faster than the speed of sound. If he were to wear this gauntlet... Well, they didn't call him a Master for nothing. I shook my head and smiled at that though. I was already fairly powerful with my abilities. Able to fight well on my own, and even with a group. I had taking a liking to telekinetic powers, but also had others at my disposal. So if I were to increase those abilities, I would greatly increase my own strength.

Now let me think. Creating this item would show that I did research, I already have some materials that I could use to make such a gauntlet. Or even better. A glove. Gloves wouldn't be thought as something powerful. They were overlooked. And even more so if it just looked like it was a fashion accessory. I smiled as I began to contemplate the ideas that I could use. This project would also show my skill in creating items. It was perfect. Something that could be done with maybe some help. But first, to detail it.

Picking up the datapads I needed, I walked out of the library. Leaving the rest sitting there and forgetting to push my chair in. I made my way towards my apartment just down the street. Ready to begin my work.

After opening the door with the force, and trying to hold all the datapads, I set them all on the main room table. Currently there was just an opened can of an energy drink on its side. I pushed it off the side and sat the datapads down. I removed my jacket as one of the datapads floated close to my face so I could continue reading about the alchemy process. Seeing that you could use runes, Blood fusions. Using the force as a medium. Focusing upon the object with specific intents. And even just creating the item straight out of what you needed with just pouring the force into it.

Looking down to my left hand, I was thinking. What material should I use? How should I create this item? What abilities should it have? I then realized that the greatest form of recreation, is creating the exact same thing. I saw the leather fingerless glove that I was wearing my left hand. Cassus was left handed. My left hand is my natural limb. I used my left arm more often now. I smiled.

I am making a glove. I will recreate the Gauntlet of Crassus. Standing up, I then stopped. But... I can't make it like that one. I am not making something to be thrown away. I want to use it. I want my own glove. I am not remaking a gauntlet. I am creating my own. I then knew how I needed to make it. By my own blood, it is mine.

Now, I just needed the materials.

And maybe a little bit of help.

I wanted a glove. One that I could easily wear in public, but not seem out of reason. So it needed to look like the current one I have. Easy. Leather. But standard leather, from what I read, would be more difficult. You see, creating the leather at the same time as you imbue it with the force made the process easier, as well as increased the desired effect. I needed a raw leather that I could use.

I then smiled deeply. I had everything I needed. As I was already standing, I moved my feet to send me into the other room. In there were the remains of the Zakkeg I had killed to earn my honor back. Currently, it was just the hide, and the bones. I smiled as I reached down to the hide. Tough, course, yet the underside was as smooth as a baby's butt. I lifted up the hide. Vaulting it over my shoulder, I brought it into the other room. I then grabbed two of the datapads I needed, and then proceeded to walk back out of my apartment. I then turned around for a moment to grab the com link.

I then made a personal call to Isely to which I would be going to. I will be making a glove made for me, that will earn my honor back, show that I am worthy, and also increase my capabilities.

"Isely, I know what I must do."
