When Padawan Knight was under the tutelage of Inyri Winter, they went to Ilum so Glenn could collect his first crystal. It was a midnight blue color. The hilt was fashioned out of songsteel with the purpose of making it resistant to enemy lightsabers. The lightsaber has a bifurcating cyclical ignition pulse which allows it to function normally when submerged underwater. The blade was also designed to facillitate Glenn's practice of Form IV lightsaber combat. After the final product was finished, Master Winter noted that the blade looked eerily similar to a lightsaber carried by someone else she knew in the past. Although she brushed it off as mere coincidence.
