    The Auto-fallacy Scanning Software scans any metal-electronic key slotted into the ignition system of the device, looking for any fallacies and inconsistencies among the device. This scan also helps to serve to scan for the fingerprints of the operating and licensed technician that is required to start the ignition process of the device. If any of these scans fail twice in a consecutive and consistent fashion, then an alarm will go on throughout the entirety of the vessel.

  • Energy weapons that meet below the threshold of power that the cloaking device is utilizing can fire with this feature in mind, though there is a highly likely chance that the firing of such weapons will trigger the cloaking device to go offline, rendering the ship visible to the naked eye and to scanners alike.

[ Strengths ]
  • | Cloaking Device | The ability for ultimate and unyielding firepower is nothing when compared to a swift and precise strike from the shadows. This device helps to fully cloak specific vessels of the CIC from which it is placed on. The cloaking, instead of refracting light like most forms of corporeal and material objects do, instead, allows light to pass through it entirely to give off the appearance of nothing being there whatsoever.
  • | Nigh Untraceable | All forms of scanners are dangerous, even the most expensive ones. Especially, the most expensive ones. The engineers who designed and created and produced the Falchion cloaking device knew of this, of course, and they sought to carry through with them what they had learned from previous projects into such cloaking technology. Utilizing a Gravitic Amplitude Modulator whose influence is casted over the entirety of the vessel in question that it is placed inside of, it allows for the vessel to remain nigh untraceable even by the strongest and most advanced sensors systems, including the infamous Crystal Gravfield Traps that have been a nuisance to all ships in the past.
[ Weaknesses ]
  • | Almost all Weapons are Disabled | When the cloaking device is activated, the majority of power from the vessel's generators will be redirected from weapons and any miscellaneous systems and features to the cloaking device in question, allowing for the ship to become fully cloaked. This comes at the cost of the lacking of most forms of weaponry being able to fire, rendering the ship without much offensive armament save those that are allowed by the ERWS system.
  • | Boot-up Process & Manually Activated | The cloaking device is and will only be activated through manual activation, at least, in most cases that is. The device can be activated electronically of course in the direst of circumstances or when the technician crew to activate the cloaking device are killed or disabled through injury. The decision to switch from a digital and electronic activation was a difficult one that the engineers had to make, though, given all possible issues that can arise with electronic and digital activation, they felt justified. The manual activation process by the technicians takes an estimated total of fifteen seconds and then ten seconds for the cloaking system to cover the entirety of the vessel along with rerouting the power to the cloaking device.
  • | Shieldless Vessel | When the cloaking device the activated, all power from the shields is drained away to both power the device and to allow light to 'cut through' the vessel to make it appear invisible. When this happens, the vessel is, of course, without any shields whatsoever and it's defensive 'rating' drops dramatically, being able to only rely upon its own armor and the skill of its crew and captain to allow it to survive.
  • | Power Drain | When the cloaking device is activated, the majority of power from the vessel's generators will be redirected from weapons and any miscellaneous systems and features to the cloaking device in question. This will drain the ship of most of its power, roughly seventy-five percent of the total power of the vessel's power generators. This will make some systems slower and less effective, such as weapon systems and engines. Comn systems, however, will still be operating at full efficiency encase of emergency.
  • | Diminished Sublight Speed | With the redirection of power towards the cloaking device, comes the degradation of the sublight engines while the cloak is active. This will make the ship move slower than it typically would, sluggishly even at times, however, that is only when the cloak is activated of course, along with ten seconds after the cloak had been deactivated.
[ DESCRIPTION ]
  • The Gladus Cloaking Technology is more or less a 'successor' to the previously created Falchion. At least, it is a successor in terms of it being a cloaking device that can be produced in higher production-line amounts and quality.
  • The device utilizes stygium crystals which have been found to be a core component of cloaking ships specifically. These stygiumcrystals, when properly focused and activated to 'wash' their presence across the entirety of the starship that they are on, allow for the vessel in question to appear as though it was never there whatsoever to the naked eye, and the cybernetic eye likewise. The crystals specifically create a 'tight fitting' field around the vessel that they are loaded onto in question, creating a 'barrier' around the ship. This barrier doesn't refract light but helps to allow most forms of light to go through the starship to make it appear as though it was never there, to begin with whatsoever, at all. This passing through of light does away with such issues as the refraction of light with solid materials, acting as a 'shield' which absorbs light to mimic the passing through of light as though it was natural, as though there was nothing there whatsoever in the first place.
  • The stygium focusing array module requires a large amount of power to fully function. This requirement of power automatically redirects powers from exterior systems to the cloaking device, keeping only the most necessary and needed starship systems online to allow the ship to fully function at one-hundred percent efficiency. All power from the shields is taken away along with most of the power from the majority of weapon systems, making the vessel relatively defenseless save for its exterior layer of thick armor plating which would naturally come with a cloaking capable battle-cruiser.
  • Despite most power being taken away from the weapons, there is enough excess power to make use of a few select energy weapons for use while cloaked. These energy weapons utilize just enough power to remain below the threshold of power being used by the starship for it's cloaking feature. Such energy weapons also can possibly deter the cloaking mechanism and make the vessel's position known, rendering the cloak useless. However, the idea to strike and ambush an enemy vessel where it's exposed below it is a very tempting thought of course...
