Miss Blonde

Trying to be straight in a crooked Galaxy
With Reclaimer Arms & Industrial coming out of the gates strong it was time to start forming partnerships and expanding out to other companies. Companies like Tanlab Industries ran by the genius [member="Aurna Vern"] a brilliant scientist, engineer, and owner of Tanlab. The woman had her fair share of trouble and bantha crap happen to her in the past but really who hasn't? There were times where Patricia had done some things she wasn't proud of and well she still had nightmares about it, so there was no judging on her part. However Reclaimer was in desperate need of a contract and mutual partnership with another corporation or faction so this would do just fine.

A small shuttle boomed out of hyper space and approached the space station that was the corporate headquarters for Tanlab, Patricia admired having all your assets in space, made it harder to get to. It was a smart tactical move and was certainly something that she could respect, would she do it? No, but she could still respect it.

"This is CEO Garter, I'm here for the meeting with Miss.Vern, sending clearance codes now" she said and had her pilot send the codes.

The ship approached the station and soon docked inside it's hanger. After a moment Patricia stood up and adjusted her little red dress and took a deep breath of air, letting her breasts rise and fall pushing against the fabric. She was never one to play this corporate game but she had to admit being her own boss with this company was certainly nice. After a few seconds the unarmed woman pressed the door and the cabin depressurized and opened to a bustling hanger of personnel. This was it.

Aurna had not done much of late, perfectly glad to just spend time either working or with Alva. So it was rare for her to take a business meeting. She had been trying to distance herself. She didn’t like running a company by herself and her partner had left so it was now just her and well she hadn’t the drive. She was in talks to working or licensing her technology to another company. They could become an official provider of Tanlab nano-technology and utilize it as long as they kept a valid licensing agreement which included a yearly fee and a percentage of any profits made off of it. It was fair and she wasn’t out to rip off anyone. She wanted Tanlab to just maintain its’ stations and profit off of some of its tech, selling satelites and licensing its nano tech. That would be nice. Maybe work on a special project here or there. What she wasn’t sure about is what Patricia wanted to do. So she smiled as she greeted her with a smile at the docking gate.

Aruna was wearing what her assistant had put together, a dress that seemed to hold to her curves just enough and yet seem professional. She loved its black color, and the fact it was comfortable. Aurna let her assistant dress her as when it came to dressing she rather leave it to those with an interest in fashion. She was very unlike her Aunt in that way for sure. “Greetings, I hope your flight here was uneventful.”

"It was quite smooth, thank you for asking." the blonde said in response with a soft smile to match.

The ex Vice President of the Red Ravens crime syndicate sized the woman up in front of her, well as much as a five foot two woman in heels could size someone up. That was the bad part of being so short, no one ever took you seriously at times and just assumed you were a weakling. But Patricia tried to carry as much weight with her presence to let that speak for her rather than her height. But that was all good, Patricia didn't really need to look intimidating for this woman, she seemed nice enough.

"It's wonderful to meet you Miss.Vern, I'm Mrs.Garter but you can call me Patricia if you want. But let's get somewhere more private so we can talk." she said in a friendly tone then took a few steps forward to stand next to her fellow business owner.

"Whenever you are ready." Patricia was a woman who didn't like to waste time, after having two kids it was something you didn't do.

Aurna took her through a ostentatious lift full of her aunts signature display of wealth, and security. She passed all the securiy measures and it took them to the giant space that was the office of Tanlab Industries, and was the old office space of none other than Alli Wren. The office was clearly equally as ostentatious. It wasn't to Aurna's taste but well she had inherited it and wasn't one to go to the expense to change it when it suited her just fine. A table and two chairs rose out of the ground in the mostly empty office, and a droid placed wine and other refreshments on the table. It was perfect, a quaint gathering, and she didn't sit at the large desk that made it hard to talk to the other person. No a meeting over refreshments was just what she thought appropiate. " So What exactly did you want to talk about Miss Garter?"

It was time toget to the business of things. The fact was that Aurna needed to get more active in the business world and this was a first step towards that. So now it was time to get to business. " I am curious how I can help you, I can't say I have heard of your company before your request. I am curious to what i can do for you."

Patricia sat down at the little table and chairs and quickly crossed her legs, she lifted the glass of wine and quickly scanned it with her logger for toxins and other contaminants. Never knew who was trying to kill you especially in this business. Once it ran up clean Patricia took a long sip then swallowed. Setting the glass back down she placed her hands on her lap and gave a polite little business like smile.

"As you know your company owns a brand of nanobots and I find those extremely interesting. And you also may know my company sells weapons and other vehicles to the public. Now the average civilian doesn't know how to fix a weapon when it's broken or a car. But your nanites do, and that's what I want for my company. To give people a weapon or vehicle that doesn't break down, that can be repaired with the right resources." she said with another smile then sip of wine.

"But not just there, I want our companies to work together. It's come to my attention that previous endeavors made with certain companies didn't end well. Well my company can offer an exclusive contract to arm your facilities, personnel, and even place defenses on your satellites. Point defense cannons for missiles anything that could be a threat we can make something to defend against it." she said with a sense of pride for her business.

"Well I don't have any deals for my arms, that is true, I would prefer to license a few designs of whatever you have for defenses for space structures, I can manufacture them just fine, I just don't have the time to devote research into them. I however do think we can provide you licensing. However keep in mind that you must be careful with them, but regardless, they have to be used near the proper terminal, and the terminal and the nanbots can only ever have one design in them at a time. They are loaded manually, to prevent an hacker or A.I to wreck havoc with them as they can only make whatever is manually loaded into the terminal and only one design can ever be in the terminal. I hope this doesn't bother you, I find they are great for mass production miniaturization and repair. "

Aurna smiled and took a drink of her glass. She pulled up the terms that her lawyers had drawn up before about nanobots and smiled handing it to Patricia. "Here is what was drawn up, I do believe it covers everything. I would be happy to some how work with you, though I will admit I don't know much about what your company does. Could you enlighten me perhaps?" Aurna asked with a smile ready to listen with rapt attention. After all she was earnestly interested.

Patricia took the terms of the contract and began to read through it, everything seemed pretty legit so far but she scanned the document and shot it over to her lawyers, the people she paid to read things for her. It was easier that way, a lot of the times she didn't really have the patiences. But for now she would simply read over the contract and explain what her company was.

"Reclaimer Arms & Industrial is a company all about helping the common man. From providing arms for self defense to giving police forces higher quality gear to enforce peace. But we of course sell to people who need higher grade weapons, what with war going on all the time a simple blaster pistol for the common family isn't enough. So we give them weapons that let them stand a decent chance if Vong invade your world. We of course do background checks and psychiatric exams before we sell to anyone and we stress that these weapons are to defense, but you never know where your weapons can go." she said with a small smile still shifting through things.

"From what I can see things look good, I can live with these terms. As soon as I get a pong from my lawyers I will give it a sign." she set down the forms afterwards and kept up her business like smile.

"Tell me more about your company while we wait."

"Well I have two, but Tanlab, builds and manages space structures, we built a giant station for some fellow, I forget its name, and manage Wren'goa Station. We also build communication satelites and some station support tech. Like a holo device that makes your wall and or windows look like something interesting is on the other side to help break up the fact you are on a suffocating space station. The other builds ships though we haven't built any yet. So there is that. " She smiled and wondered what her lawyers might have to say as she had her's draft it up. "I kind of do whatever really... I took over from my aunt.. she died before she could really build it up. but I mainly focus on space structures. "

Aurna after all was not trained to run a business, she had the skills but well they were unrefined. She largely hid in the engineers workspace and tinkered really. Trying to avoid the annoying work of numbers letting Serenity do them when possible. After all what use was an A.I if you didn't use it. "I also toy around with certain advanced technologies such as A.I but I mainly am trying to find a way to maximize the efficiency of my nanobots. "

Patricia sat there listening to the woman speak about her company, she had quite a few uses for her. Space wise at least, she could have her company develop defense platforms and Patricia could develop orbital drop pots. So those went hand and hand for planetary defense, and all Patricia could see was credits here. Not that a Jedi should get attached to earthly possessions such as money but it certainly helped her family out a lot.

But as credits were streaming in her head she received a ding on her data pad with a message that read the contract was good. She could have a license to the nanobots and use them in her technology. Hell she could even make a mobile terminal for them and have those self repairing vehicles. The possibility was limitless really so Patricia picked up the contract between Tanlab and Reclaimer and signed away at it.

"Done. Now I hope we can work together more in the future, I rather enjoy this." she said with a friendly smile and slid the contract towards Vern.

"Me too, I have to say working with you sounds quite fun. I am sure that our using each others tech for our products will help greatly, I would love to be informed about any space weapon technology you work on, as that seems the most practical use of your tech. I will make sure that my engineers are ready to inspect any and all sites you wish to use our nanobots at and my company will schedule all the following visits as required per our licensing of nano technology. If for any reason they hinder you or are slow as bureaucrats tend to be, let me know and I will insure that a fire is lit under them. " Aurna smiled. " Well is there anything else pressing?" She asked taking a drink of her wine before signing her section of the contract. After all both parties had to agree. I am glad I finally found someone willing to use the tech, most have been daunted by our safety checks but well I rather not risk another clockwork incident.
