SETTING INFORMATION
  • Military Base Name: Girig
  • Classification: A military/criminal compound.
  • Location: Daxam IV
  • Affiliation: The Imperial Mafia
  • Population: Moderate
  • Demographics: The most common person to find here are the locals, although many criminals also inhabit the area. While the local populace serves as laborers and light security, the criminals that appear here can have a multitude of professions, pertaining to criminal activity of course.
  • Accessibility: The base itself is most easily accessible through a landing pad attached to it. It is surrounded by an ice field, making it relatively difficult to reach by foot. It isn't able to be contacted through com-channels and has barely any form of outside communication, aside from the forms that people bring in.
  • Description: At first, you may not even notice it. Upon closer inspection, the most prominent features are the small spires that jut out from the icy rock.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • A small landing pad flanking the base serves as the primary mode of entry.
  • A hold-out checkpoint right upon entry, where all visitors are required to submit their weapons.
  • Located deeper into the base, there is a large vault, which stores a majority of the mafia's most important objects.

SECURITY
Medium: The base is protected by a shield generator, nothing too strong, as well as some standard-issue laser cannons. It also houses a com jammer which is almost always active. As for the inside, the majority of the guard is populated by the native laborers, as well as any criminals that may be hired on at the moment.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Created shortly after the Elysium Empire's acquisition of Daxam IV, Girig was constructed to serve as one of the few and primary bases for the Dobson family, and the Imperial Mafia.

After Omar Dobson gained the respect of the people, Girig was given a reliable source of labor, and light security if need be.

A side effect of the locals' residence in the base is the clear cultural symbols that can be found throughout Girig. Aside from the main meeting areas, and the more luxurious parts of the base, many places throughout Girig clearly belong to the locals.
