STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES (Required: 2 Weaknesses Minimum) :

Inherited Resilience: A matter of genetics, Gideon has inherited an increased endurance. Not only to pain or stress, but overall his body requires less energy to effect the same as a normal human male of the same relative composition. Like his progenitor, he is able to operate without sleep for several days and the fatigue of combat is held at bay if felt at all, or at very least felt significantly less than those without his enhanced genetics. Despite his being from the same genetic line as [member="Torian Pierce"], several tinkerings with the template had begun had occurred in an attempt to further assure loyalty to the First Order, a predisposition to authoritarianism - unfortunately for them, their meddling had the opposite effect, at least in part.

Today's Loss, Tomorrow's Gain: His pride has never gotten the better of him, at least as of yet. A strategic thinker, his mind is always on the future and he will run from a fight rather than be goaded into a battle he cannot win. Instead, he is of a mind to slink away and return when the odds are in his favor, or at least tipped less in the enemy's direction. The long game is one he's always been good at playing, even if it requires sacrifice in teh moment.

Combat Capable: Though untested, his combat ability is another area where it is assumed his hereditary traits will shine through. Unlike most soldiers in the First Order, or clones, Gideon wasn't given the full regimen of flash training. Too often enemies of the First Order were apt to pick up on combat styles, predispositions towards a certain line of thinking - the clones and soldiers of the First Order's military could be relied upon to behave in a certain way most of the time, all trained from the same doctrine. Gideon was different. Flash training was provided, but in limited quantities and in a manner that wouldn't reveal the weaknesses most clones might see on the battlefield. Free to converge upon whatever means necessary, his training was more varied than the average soldier - an edge not to be wasted in battle. Likewise it would make him unpredictable and dangerous in a confrontation - as it would later prove.

Loyalty Unto Oneself: Gideon has but one loyalty, and that is to himself. A result of failed gene manipulation, the man sees no merit in governments. More often than not governments get in the way of one of his fundamental beliefs - freedom. Under governments a person is bound by laws, taxed and manipulated to serve the state, to feed the government itself. What good is living if you can't live free of the burden of civilization, the burden of bureaucracy or legalities. Though he believes in this, he is also not foolish enough to see governments or entities as anything other than what they are - opportunities to make money.

Caged Beast: Though his temper has been suppressed in comparison to his genetic predecessor, he holds a measure of that unholy rage deep within, a monster held back only by an unknown barrier inside himself. It is a deep creature, a dark creature that lives within the very bowels of his soul. Though the potential for this to be used as a strength is certainly there, so is the ever lingering chance that it could tear him apart. Gideon has found himself misplaced - not only in society, but as a whole - there's something deeper lurking beneath the surface, something that's missing in the average person, a primal almost feral instinct.

Every Man Bears the Weight of His Own Demons: Though many of the memories he might otherwise experience as a result of being a clone have been suppressed, frequent nightmares plague Gideon. His fears find purchase in his dreams and though he claims they're naught but dreams, he wonders if in fact they are visions of the future, twisted and horror filled visions of his future. Part of what drives him, the eventual fear that he will be dragged deep into they abyss by the demons that haunt his dreams is enough to propel him forward.

Materialist: Worth is found in what a man possesses or claims for himself by the strength of his own might. Those too weak to protect what they have deserve to have it taken away by stronger men - men like him. A shrewd negotiator, Gideon prefers to speak from a place of power, holding the pieces he knows his opposition wants in an effort to secure his goals. Objects, wealth, relics, these are the things he sets his eyes on and strives to possess. Through negotiating, through blackmailing, through the blaster or the sword - he will take what he wants, damn those who stand in his way.

APPEARANCE: Arguably speaking - he could be the spitting image of [member="Torian Pierce"], though identical physically, his body is not covered in scarring, rather the opposite. A picture of a perfect human specimen, his flesh is unadorned by tattoo or scar. His fair skin yet remains unmarred by the passage of time nor experience.

BIOGRAPHY:
How does a clone reconcile that he is merely an image of another, a physical manifestation of an already existent, sentient being? Most fall to madness, some become anti-heroes of themselves in an attempt to rationalize that they are simply a mirror image of a person and they are but a reconstituted being. Others, to include Gideon Bast suffer other afflictions. Where to begin - perhaps with a name. Gideon Bast is effectively the man's assumed name, a collection of first name and last name torn from Imperial record. Life till now has been a rush, a series of unfortunate events strung together and mercilessly cast into the greater galaxy.

A clone. That's what Gideon is, but that's not who he is. Very much in his infancy, his birth unto the world, much remains unknown to the full grown man. Flash training has gifted him with a most basic understanding of the world and thanks to the history databanks he's had access to he has learned much in a short amount of time but he is still new to the galaxy. Who will he become? Nothing is known of the man whom he is allegedly a clone of - in fact to this day Gideon believes himself the victim of some inhuman scientific testing however anything before his waking breath is a shroud to him.

Having escaped the First Order shadow facility where he was grown, he has stolen with him a database of secret information pertaining to the genetic testing on himself and his template however it is heavily encrypted and he has yet to crack through the security measures to get to the data within.
