Ghosts Of The Past (Ask)

Mytus VII

The reason that she was here was different than what had been shared with those whom came with her. It wasn't that she was trying to hide or had anything to hide really. It was more that Anastasia didn't wish to air her dirty laundry out for them all to see.

She had mentioned something about artifact hunting and uncovering hidden secrets to the group which was partly true. She had heard that the Sith nor Gaug had touched this place since the Mandalorian invasion. This meant to her that most things were left untouched after all what Mando wanted a Graug torture device?

A light sigh escaped her lips as she looked up to the castle in front of them. Running her hands over her arms Ana took a deep breath as the reality of what she was about to do sunk in. This had been her "home" for so many years and coming back here was harder than she thought. Perhaps she wasn't ready for this. The worst was she had yet to walk inside and was already getting the chills.

"I'm not sure what we will find," Ana stated as she turned to the group behind her brushing a strand of hair from her face. He's got the southern "This used to be one of the Graug slave yards even though it doesn't look like it. I doubt it's been touched since being invaded but it may have been. I don't have to tell you but be careful I have no idea what we will find."[/color] A light smile appeared on her face as she turned around to head in that direction. Standing here was only delaying the inevitable and going back here couldn't be that bad...

Man, Xardus was having some serious issues lately. First, he woke up about a few days prior to find out her been possessed by some sort of spirit. Then the worst part hit him. He barely remembered who he was as a person. Sure, little clips of memory came in every now and then, but other than the fact that his name was Xardus Folidaar and that his last strong memory was trudging through a swamp of zombies, his brain was a wreck. "Curse that stupid spirit..." He held the amulet in his hand, feeling the dark presence that now lived inside it. He promised himself the first thing he'd do was get himself a new saber. The one he had, the one he had apparently made when he was possessed, was corrupted by the dark side. The only reason he still used it was because it was all he had.

Looking around him at the ruins and the others who had chosen to take part in this venture, he shook his head softly. Why was he here? Maybe he just wanted to stretch his limbs, so to speak. He'd been captive for so long...

Alexandra patted the should of Xardus as she came up beside him and Anastasia, smiling like her old self as she wore the same pure white robes and cloak as always. "Now now mister amnesia, i can always put him right back in there if you want, im sure you would love to have another chat with him no?" She smiled at him, the comment purely a joke as the disdain for spirits like that was clear enough in her eyes. If she could she would have removed the spirit from this plane of being, but she was not that powerful so she would not even attempt it knowing the consequences would be great. Next her eyes went to Anastasia as she smiled at her. "Shall we go on my friend?"

Asteria shivered at the sight of the slave yards. William, knowing what she was thinking, put his hand on her shoulder. She and her companion had both been slaves once, Asteria as a trophy, he for labor. Asteria knew and saw that Anastasia had come here for other reasons than artifact hunting, came up to her and placed her hand on Anastasia's back reassuringly.

"We both have had the pain, so let's face it together, shall we, mellon-nín?"

From the back of the group, the R4 unit let out a quiet whine and whistle of nervousness, the droid brave but still cautious. His whiphid counterpart, towering at a good 2 meters surveyed the decrepid old building himself.

"I see what you mean little guy, creepy as hell!"

R4 Blooped in agreement. The duo had worked with Anastasia before with the Ravens, and were happy to lend an extra pair of helping hands to the mission.

"Well where do you start? Front door or is that too simple?" he asked aloud, wondering if anyone had a plan togeher~

Deep in the bowels of the castle, a young Sith looked around the room. She was looking for anything of use. Nothing stood out, at least not yet. Sure, there were torture chambers, horrible devices, and weapons that looked absolutely barbaric. The closest thing to civilized culture she had come across had been a leather-wrapped, bone handle light saber. Even those were crude. She wasn't sure why she was still here, but she was. And so, she kept looking around. Until she sensed something she had longed to sense for a long time.

Fear.

She wasn't sure where, or how close it was, but it was there. And it was close. Her hands shook as she sat on the floor. What was this? Who would come here? Grace didn't know. But she intended to wait for them to draw near. Maybe give them a reason to fear. For now, she would feed on it, endulging on it. They would come. And she would wait.

Ana wondered why many of them had decided to join her on this little trip. It was hard for her to grasp why anyone would want to go into such a dreary place but than again she was going. Everyone had their reasons and the Mandalorian was not going to question them least they begin questioning her reasoning for coming on this little trip herself.

"Yes, let's face them together." She turned to give Asteria a weak smile. Even though she wished her mate could have come as well Ana was glad that she wasn't alone in her quest. It would be much worse in her opinion going through all of this alone.

"I was thinking through the front door. Again watch were you step and where you go. I don't know what to expect." She stated as she carefully walked up the steps to the front door. She had never been on this level before or well not that she could remember and didn't know what to expect.

As she reached the front door she would have pulled on the door knob to open however found that it was already open a little. Slowly she opened the door a little more to reveal a darkened room which from what she could see in the dark had a winding staircase up to the next level. "Anyone have a light?"

Xardus's face hardened a little at Alexandra's comment, quickly hiding the talisman back into his robes. The last thing he wanted was to lose control of his body again. He was still suffering from amnesia, and he didn't want an even worse case than he had. At the mention of a 'light', a memory came from the back of his head. Clearing his throat gently, he stepped up a few feet. "I should be able to handle that... I think." He hoped it worked. Closing his eyes for a second, his right hand ignited with a gentle flame. Holding it up, he nodded at the woman who had called them. "After you."

Asteria allowed her aura to glow slightly more, as did William and they stepped into the house too. Asteria looked around, a little unsettled. They weren't alone, she could tell by the way the door had been left open, but she didn't know what to expect, so she kept her senses on high alert. Will subconsciously rubbed his wrist where a cut from the chains he had worn for so long scarred it. It was mostly healed, but the thin white line was a reminder. "I agree, Miss Rade. We should stick together at all times, unless absolutely necessary." Asteria nodded, "Will is right, strength in numbers. "

The elegant flame was soon drowned out by a solid beam of the R4 unit's lamp as it trundled forwards to light the way, chirping a quip to Xardus as he rolled past, taking point to illuminate the cavernous interior of the castle.

"Heh, sorry. He often likes to take point" Tahl chuckled as he drew his blade just incase~ the group moving forward into the depths of the building....

Fortunately for anyone lying in wait the droid's lifeform scanner was replaced, so they still had the element of surprise

They drew closer with every breath. She rolled her head back, drinking it in and clearly enjoying it. An onlooker might say she was high on spice, clearly enjoying what looked like simply sitting. But there was so much more. She seeped herself in it, drowning in it. But there wasn't enough, and like a drug, it made her want more. But there wasn't more. If she wanted more, she would need to make some. Some illusions would do the trick.

As the girl worked, screams would begin to echo in the halls. Cries of pain, desperate, ghostly calls of "Help me", and in the middle of it all, a man's laughter. As the sounds played, she shivered. She had forgotten how much she hated that voice.

As Ana walked into the castle she felt a slight chill go down her back. Being here again was something else and the young woman was getting a bad feeling about this. It didn't surprise her however as this place held some dark memories for her of the past. Things that she never wanted to think of again.

Sighing Ana turned to the group. "So shall we venture to the basement first? It's where they keep the good stuff." It was in her best interest that they start in the place that would be the worst in terms of memories for her.

Turning to her left she began leading the way through the castle. She wasn't sure how to get downstairs but there had to be stairs something. As she crossed the floor Ana swore she could hear voices. "Do you guys hear that?"

Asteria's ears pricked up as soon as she heard the voices and her face slightly paled. William hard the voices to and replied to Anastasia when she asked if anyone heard them.

"We hear them, but I can't figure out where they're coming from."

Asteria could barely make out the voice of a young girl calling out for help, and was horrified as it sounded like her own screams when she had been a slave.

"It sounds like they're being hurt. "

"I hear it too." Xardus looked around, as if he expected the voices to be coming from right next to him. They were quite creepy, but creepy was the reason they were all here. "Well, might as well go in then, you think?"
