Voices of The Deep
◈ A Z U R E ◈
Winter did not particularly agree with the choices she had made as of late...not long after she had unlocked the mysterious power of The Void she found herself having a rather difficult time controlling and manipulating the raw energy...even after remaining diligent for five solid days on that planet meditating and self reflecting upon herself...Apparently she did not have everything as figured out as she hoped. And now she was on her way home...back to the one place she had avoided since she was a child. She hadn't even heard news of her homeland. As far as she was concerned it was nothing but blood and ash scattered to the wind.
But perhaps that was her problem all along...she 'cared' to much...deep inside she wanted her home to be there...she cared about her subjects. And it was this very show of emotion she had tried to block off that was barricading her from the power of The Void. Winter was a cold woman...that much had always been known. But she held a spot of warmth for those who risked their lives for her. Every single member of her Royal Guard had put their lives on the line ever since she was a wee lass to ensure her well being.
Winter respected that about them...loyalty and sheer determination to a woman who had been dethroned but they still called queen. When she walked out of her every morning they would get on their knees and grovel...Winter 'hated' that. She did not picture herself as a true ruler...nor anyone to be bowed to. Winter use to view herself as just another girl with undeserved and unearned power...and thats honestly all she was. From the outside looking in, she probably looked like a spoiled brat who never had to lift a finger in their lives. And in all honesty they were not wrong. Winter had grown up with a silver spoon in her mouth long after her family was removed from power...The Royal Guard helped raised her...and they had done a mighty fine job.
Now, their queen was at a point in her life where everything would change...no longer the sad little girl or cold callus woman...no Winter was turning into something so much worse...she was turning into nothing. The emptiness of humanity surrounded her like an aura...and as the shuttle ship continued through hyperspace Winter looked at the passing blue beams and narrowed her eyes.
"I finish this...now."
