Description: Based on the CR90 Corvette design, Senator Mark Crassis issued a small number of these vessels to be developed in order to provide the operatives of the G.R.I.M. a vessel that was ideal for the day to day work of an intelligence operative. The Ghost-Class CR90 Corvette was the outcome of this necessity. The Ghost-Class has been equipped with the ECHO Copycat Kaleido and the ECHO DED-3 Carbon Strober systems in order to make the vessel much harder to scan and to allow them to intercept radio tranmissions. Additionally, the durasteel hull is impregnated with durinium which further defends the vessel from scanning.
However, the greatest advantage the Ghost-Class possess however is the Signature Modulator. Signature Modulators have been used in the past on smuggler vessels and Crassis, jumping on the technology, saw the potential of its use in intelligence work. The modulator installed on the vessel allows for the ships signature to be changed. This is vitally important on the missions that intelligence operatives find themselves on and the signatures are usually vital to the survival of the intelligence operatives cover story. As signature modulators can only store a finite number of signatures, it is necessary for the vessel to be brought back to the Central Hub when the need arises for new signatures to be uploaded.
