SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Mini-Repulsor Lifts - As well as the main Repulsor lifts keeping the Gev'iin afloat, the engines also have smaller repulsor lifts along their sides which can be fired individually allowing a careful pilot to make sure their engines stay near enough for the energy binders to be effective, they also allow the Gev'iin to make small 'hops' over obstacles.
  • Air Brakes - They don't get much use
  • Air Scoops - Helpful for maneuvering, especially through turns since Dhakarta refuses to use the Air Brakes.
  • Harmonic Dampner - To dampen things in harmony
  • Pressor Field - Basically a non-passive repulsor lift, several of these are used to steer the Gev'iin by shoving the ground or other solid object in one direction or another
  • Tractor Beam - Used much like a pressor field, but in reverse. This helps make up for the Gev'iins lack of mobility in some situations by, for example, allowing it to 'grab hold' of an obstacle and swing around it, though one has to be careful not to hold on for too long or risk being smashed into said obstacle
  • Cycling-Electromagnetic Stabilizer - It is important to be stable
  • Boost Meter - Can only be used safely twice without repair and upkeep. Three times is pushing it. Four and you're going to explode for sure.
  • Particle Shield - No one wants a bug to the face when you're going at unreasonable speeds
  • Cap Drain Module - Dhakarta is a little bit paranoid, and does not want to lose steering at a million miles an hour, thanks
  • Gatling Mounted Clingwire Tow Cable - Winning is nice, but sometimes you have to make sure your Vode at least cross the finish line
  • Chaff Dispersal Unit - The singular defensive 'armament', probably illegal, installed with much stealth in a ethmane pressurized compartment, Dhakarta installed this to deploy from the back of her control pod so if someone was behind her with a more offensive weapon, she could blow one of the two chaff packages back into their engines and likely blow the underhanded bastards up. Utterly ineffective on anyone in front of her.
Strengths:
  • Beastly - Someone is trying to pass you? No worries, just run them off the track, the Gev'iin will almost certainly be unscratched while you leave a flaming wreck in your wake
Weaknesses:
  • No Pressure Management Mode Indicator - Do or die. Dhakarta stripped her machine of almost all of its safety overrides and warning systems. If her engines begin to overheat or suffer non-obvious damage, chances are the podracer will eventually fail, possibly in a spectacular manner.
  • Not Subtle - The Gev'iin doesn't really make small course adjustments. Navigating largely using a mixture of pressor and tractor beams, there is a very real danger of overturning, or alternatively of trying to overcompensate for this and not changing course enough
Description:
The main aim of a racing podracer is, as one might expect, to win the race. The current fashion to achieve this is smaller, lighter, faster and more maneuverable. Accepting that she had neither the credits, resources or time to compete on that front against those with corporate backing, Dhakarta instead chose to build a rather more.. robust machine. Still more than fast enough to satisfy any daredevil, it is larger and hardier than your average podracer, though it's still not fit for the field of battle or the like.

[member="Dhakarta"], this is probably the most unique and well-thought out podracer that I've seen here, and a nice piece of worldcrafting to boot.

Size: Larger than Average Weight: Heavier than Average
This is one of those technicalities, but these fields have to use the exact wording or rates listed in the template. For your convenience, here they are:
Speed: (Give the top speed of the vehicle relative to its size category. (Choose from: Very Slow, Slow, Average, Fast, Very Fast, andExtreme))
Maneuverability: (How agile is your vehicle? Can it take tight turns? This is relative to the size of the vehicle. For your type of vehicle how maneuverable is it? (Choose from: Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, and Extreme.

Maneuverability: Medium
Same thing here. Here are the rating options for this field:

Maneuverability: (How agile is your vehicle? Can it take tight turns? This is relative to the size of the vehicle. For your type of vehicle how maneuverable is it? (Choose from: Very Low, Low, Average, High, Very High, and Extreme.

Squadron Count: Very High

These are also at odds with each other. If there's only one podracer, then the max squadron size would be "None". If you would like to make more than one, that's certainly doable, but you'll need a company with "vehicles" as operation to help you produce them.

[member="Gir Quee"] Ah, sorry about that! All those bits should be fixed! And thanks a ton for the compliment, I had a lot of fun making this!

[member="Gib"] As long as I take some of the competition with me.. ;)
