The Tie Jager roared. That was one of the reasons Kharnaz had stolen one. The noise its twin engines made in the cockpit as he flew gave him a rush of adrenaline. This ship had speed and firepower, a brutal design that mirrored Kharnaz himself. He was flying it back to his freighter when he saw it.

A signiature on his sensors. A blip, several hundred clicks away. He didnt need to read into the data to know who it was.

It was her. Somewhow he had ran into her again. Or had she been tracking him? It was of no concern to Kharnaz. He relished the chance to prove he could best her. A starfighter may not have been his weapon of choice, but it would work well. Diverting power to engines he flew on an intercept course.

This would be where the fun begins.

Her eyes locked onto the blip on her sensors. Kharnaz. Of course, it would be him. Somehow, they kept crossing paths, as if the galaxy refused to let them be apart.

A surge of adrenaline ran through her, matching the hum of her engines. Speed, precision, control—this was her element. She didn't need brute force to win; she needed cunning, timing, and the ability to make him overcommit.

A sharp grin flickered across her features. Let him think he can catch me. Let him believe this is his moment. She banked hard, weaving through the stars with fluid, confident arcs, forcing him to chase, to reveal every weakness.

Every twist, every maneuver was deliberate. Every second was a challenge. And when the opening came, she would strike—and Kharnaz would learn exactly why she had always been a danger to him.

This wasn't just a pursuit. It was a proving ground. And she intended to come out on top.

Kharnaz pursued, his need for blood compelling him to chase her down. His TIE protested at the turns he forced it to perform, engines screaming. He stayed on her tail, albeit some distance away.

Karnaz pushed the trigger, letting laser bolts fly towards her. He knew these had little chance of hitting her, but the intention was to frighten her. Mayber make her do something rash

The first volley cut across her canopy, streaks of red tearing through the dark. Not random fire, deliberate, and practiced. Her fighter rolled instinctively, thrusters whining as she slipped beneath the blast and leveled out. The targeting sensors confirmed what instinct already knew.

Kharnaz.

Her jaw tightened, but her voice stayed even as she steadied the stick. "Of all the ways to revisit old steps," she murmured, tone flat but laced with quiet irony. "You choose this."

She angled upward, cutting through the thin cloud layer, the hum of her engines steady against the storm building behind her. The memory of their last meeting flickered...the turn, the rhythm, the deceptive ease of a dance that had been anything but harmless. Now he pursued again, the same rhythm, a different stage.

Her fighter twisted in a tight arc, flipping her from quarry to hunter in a single smooth motion. Her crosshairs found his TIE, the outline sharp against the glow of the horizon.

"Kharnaz," she said over the comm, calm but unyielding. "If you're trying to relive the last time we met, this is a poor substitute. Stand down. You are not going to frighten me, and I will not be your next casualty."

A brief silence followed — the kind that existed between strikes in a duel, between one heartbeat and the next.

"I won't warn you again," she added, voice low, measured. "Choose your next step carefully."

Her thumb hovered near the trigger — the soldier prepared to end it, the Jedi still offering restraint.
