Rigor lingered for half a heartbeat, the droid simply staring at the two maintenance automatons as they instructed it to go and get repairs. For a moment, it appeared that it would not comply, simply standing in place. In reality only a second had passed, but for the three droids it felt like an eternity.

Finally, Rigor moved.

With a surprisingly jarring walk Rigor made its way between the two droids. They shifted to look at it for a moment before turning their heads and returning to the task that they had been assigned. The infiltrator simply kept moving forward, the odd, almost stuck movement seemingly falling away from it as it moved out of view of the two droids. The pounding of metal feet distanced themselves and Rigor began to shift towards his objective, taking a different path then his partner towards the main cloning labs.

[En-route] The singular terse word was sent to Laguz's comm, a simple but effective message that Rigor had made its own path towards their objective.

As it walked the droids sensors began to scan its environment, shifting through the halls and mapping the quickest path towards where it was supposed to go.

The two people a bit further down in the carriage kept chatting quietly, and though Laguz overheard some bits and pieces here and there — usually curious enough to pique xir interest — the merc had a different goal today, and was simply happy that the pair left xem well enough alone.

A pre-recorded announcement rang through the wagons of the monorail as the train came to a stop, and with a courteous nod the couples' way, the shifter slipped off and onto the right platform. Not even a close call.

Nice.

Without wasting time, the Shi'ido-turned-Kaminoan strode purposefully down the circular corridor, glancing at xir datapad every now and then to check that xe was still going into the right direction. Tipoca City wasn't exactly small, and with the way they'd built it, Laguz was tempted to call it a maze. The only thing keeping xem from doing so was the fact that xe'd been to actual mazes in the past, often filled with traps and beasts to boot. This? Cakewalk.

Well, almost.

For a moment, Laguz wished xe could hail Kiran Vess for a call, but banished the thought quickly enough. Xe cast a look down the long, empty corridor before sidling up to the access panel, carefully blocking out the camera's view on the keypad as xe did so. Instead of Kiran, the shifter would scroll just a bit further down and hook up another contact.

Utterly different, yet similarly useful for the task at hand.

"[member="Rigor"]," xe muttered urgently into the comlink, pretending that xe was searching for something in xir pockets while the droid would hopefully get to work.

Rigor did not wait any longer, it was already moving towards one of the main consoles located within the structure. That was the beauty of modern systems, everything was interconnected. It moved quickly, turning a corner and shifting slightly as it fount its way to what appeared to be a circuit panel.

[One Moment.] The droid's voice would resonate in Laguz's ear once more. The droid tilted it's head for a moment. [You Have Three Minutes.]

The droid spoke matter of fact as a wire extended from its arm and it pressed the cable into a small access port within the panel. There was a slight whirring noise, a strange spark, and then suddenly the doors in front of Laguz would fall open to reveal the laboratory beyond. Rigor would stall for a moment more, standing at the panel to access other publicly available systems within Kamino. It did not attempt to slice into locked documents, instead it gathered data from public subroutines and other data that it found. For half a moment more it stalled there, then quickly unplugged the data cord from the console and turned away.

[Platform A34] Another signal was quickly sent to Laguz, this time a communication of where they would make their escape. Kamino was a massive sprawling planet, and Tipoca city was equally large. They had studied the maps of course, but had decided that extraction would be decided once they were present within the city. Foolish for some, but for them it would work.

Laguz slipped through the door the second the green light lit above the keypad, uttering a short word of affirmation to the droid on the other end of the line.

Three minutes? Might as well give xem all day.

The shifter quickened xir step and disappeared into the corridor beyond, consulting xir datapad once more to ascertain which lab would contain the information they had come to retrieve. Well, 'retrieve'; the perks of working for a highly unscrupulous employer.

Pay enough, and absolutely anything could come to be in your possession. This time, it was the methods and technology utilized by the very pioneers of cloning, requested by one Alric Kuhn of Vanir Technologies. Saeva had links to many people and organizations across the galaxy, but the man was on better terms with the mercenary group than most due to past connections.

All of that mattered very little to Laguz as xe swept down the hall in search of the right label, however, and then it ceased to matter completely as xe finally found the correct room. Applying the correct algorithm to coax the lock open once more, the shifter slipped inside like a ghost, hooking up the datapad to the mainframe in the blink of an eye.

A minute and a half left… good enough. If all else failed, xe could always break out through one of the windows and make a beeline for A34, though that would be a last resort. It was better to leave no tracks at all in situations like these.

Rigor made its way towards the Hangar bay, still disguised as one of the maintenance droids.

That was prudent, for the droid passed many beings on its way towards the hangar bay. Kamino, was after all, a major world. Though the planet had once been isolated and alone, kept apart from the regular galaxy it was now a main center of commerce and even government within the Techno Union. The cloning technology developed by the Kaminoans was famous across the galaxy and the things that were created here were a wonder to many within the galaxy. Rigor of course hardly cared about that, it was simply here to complete a mission.

With a part of that mission already done, and Laguz fulfilling the second, Rigor would now see to their escape.

With Tipicoa's main data centers coursing through its body the droid had managed to locate a hangar with ships that would be favorable to escape, A34.

The doors parted to reveal the hangar bay, flurried with activity. As all constructs on Kamino the hangar bay was massive and decoratively lacking. Huge white walls and massive mechanical arms kept ships of all sorts confined. For half a moment Rigor looked about the room, eventually finding a small terminal to the side. It slowly made its way over, ignored by all, after all the it was only a maintenance droid. Eventually Rigor found its way to the console, standing before and once again pulling free its data cord.

A small snap and the droid was once again accessing Tipicoa's data systems.

With a few spare seconds to go, Laguz emerged from the labs once more, dusting off xir faux coat to give a proper air of nonchalance. Quick steps – longer than they should be physically possible for a member of the Kaminoan species – took the merc through the maze of corridors and rooms, until xe finally arrived at an elevator.

Slipping inside with two others, Laguz hogged a corner and kept close watch on xir datapad for any pings from [member="Rigor"], but none came for the time being. Either the droid had been captured and deactivated, or all was going according to plan.

Given the prodigious track record that Saeva boasted along with its skilled employees, the shifter somehow doubted it was the former. Their mission wasn't exactly easy, but it wasn't even in the top ten most difficult contracts Laguz had taken on in xir prolific career. Concern? There wasn't much of it.

A tinny sound cut the monotone music in the background, and Laguz slipped out of the lift faster than the other passengers could blink. By the time they stepped out, the shifter was already halfway to A34, information safely tucked away in the encrypted depths of xir datapad as he rushed towards the hangar bay.

"Status report," xe muttered into the comlink as xe rounded another corner. They had perhaps ten minutes before someone, somewhere, would notice that unauthorized fingers had poked about their precious data.

[Vessel has been found] The message was sent in the same monotone. [Acquiring now]

The messages were curt, small, and to the point. Rigor found no need to give a lengthy explanation or to banter with the shapeshifter, there was no point. The cord was torn from the console, the droids head turning towards the end of the Hangar bay where a large transport ship sat. Still disguised as a maintenance droid everyone seemed to ignore Rigor as it made its way towards the vessel. People tended to only pay attention to things that mattered, and droids did not matter.

The droid stepped towards the ship, slowly panning its scanners over the vessel to assure every system was functional.

[End of Hangar, last ship to the right. Onith Class Transport] Along with the last message an identifier was sent, a short code that Laguz could ping Rigor with.

For half a moment more the droid stood in place in front of the vessel, then it slowly began to look about the room. It spotted a man in a pilot uniform, wandering away from a similar vessel to the one it stood before. It waited half a second, then suddenly a shift of color occurred over the droids exterior. A flash of color and the holographic disguise matrix kicked into effect, the exterior of the maintenance droid shifted and changed into a mirror image of the pilot that was earlier displayed, his uniform and helmet copied exactly.

Then without further wait Rigor climbed into the ship.

Xe almost said 'Good man' before remembering that the thing on the other side of the line was just that; a thing. A thing with a mighty capable processor and some very advanced algorithms built into its personality module, but a thing nonetheless.

Well, most of the time, anyway. Laguz had been informed that the droid was equipped with a technological shiftskin of sorts, something that could allow it to mirror its surroundings and echo other people and objects much like the merc xemself could. Probably not quite to that extent, and with a lesser amount of skill — can't top two centuries of religious practice — but it would be effective enough in disgusing @Rigor. Probably.

Upon turning another corner, Laguz happily immersed xemself into a small crowd of people rushing towards the hangar indicated by xir partner, and hanging on their tail-end, nobody ever noticed just when they lost the Kaminoan scientist guy and acquired an unassuming spacer female. Just another person in transit on the water world, nothing unusual.

A few more corridors, and then the merc slipped through the door of A34, disappearing between the ships docked throughout its length. Nobody paid any mind to yet another rushing person in a sea of others, and with purpose and calm etched into xir now female features, Laguz soon tracked down the ship indicated by xir associate.

"Incoming," xe was short, casting one last quick glance around xem to check for any suspicious eyes, and then Laguz hopped into the vessel as well. "We're a go."

An acknowledgement was sent, though no action was yet taken. The droid instead sat inside of the cockpit, it's hands hovering over the activation switches as it sent a signal to the control tower of Tipoca City. There was no need to rush, no need to hurry or even to lie their way off of the city. As of yet no alarms had been set off and no one had realized that anything was taken, so Rigor simply sent a request for take off to the cities central database.

The system acknowledged, asked for a reason and then was quickly answered with secure codes that Rigor had earlier taken from the Hangars Command Console.

The whole process took only a few seconds, and before long the database sent back a simple all clear signal to Rigor.

For half a moment more the droid stalled, giving the appropriate time for human reaction speed before triggering the activation of the ships engines. The vessel sparked into life, it's reactor quickly beginning to burn and its systems sparking into life. Slowly the droid pressed the control stick foward, lifting the vessel off the hangar floor and dipping it forward. Within just a few seconds the Onith Class Transport cut out of the hangar bays ray shielded door and swooped into the sky.

Laguz abandoned the female pilot guise as quickly as xe'd assumed it, melting into the insides of the ship as fast as Shi'idoly possible. Which was pretty freaking fast, especially after two centuries of arduous practice. Not that you would know that, or that the Kaminoan authorities strolling about the hangar would know that. In fact, even [member="Rigor"] had no idea what the shifter was doing, and that was just fine by Laguz.

While the droid was dealing with the last details pertaining their smooth exit of the thread Tipoca city, the merc ran a quick analysis over everything they had stolen, copied, pilfered, or otherwise borrowed without the appropriate authorisation during their brief visit on Kamino.

Cloning methods and processes, check. Medication and pharmaceutical data, check. Public records, check.

Alric Kuhn ought to be pleased by the yield of this little trip, that was to be sure. They'd set off exactly zero alarms, alerted no organic or artificial intelligence, and left next to no tracks behind them. Apart from a few dents in a pylon and two karked up maintenance hatches, the city would remain virtually the same.

Then again, Saeva incorporated were professionals. Anything less for a job like this, and they might as well hang up their their figurative hats.

And then they were off, breezing towards their destination with their informational prey duly captured and ensnared.

The Onith class cut through Kamino's atmosphere with only the slightest bump, the ship having been so well designed that anyone inside would hardly notice that they had entered the vestiges of space.

Rigor would have been astounded had it been organic, it would have marveled at how quickly, and how efficiently they had managed to infiltrate and acquire everything and more then their original objective had listed. The only losses they had taken were two disposable hyperspace drop pods, pods that would now be crushed by the depths of the ocean. The people of Kamino would only find something was missing when they realized the Onith class was not returning, and by then Saeva would be completely clear.

The droid throttled the ship forward, pressing towards the edge of Kamino's gravity well.

There was a certain satisfaction that even the droid could enjoy in this, the approval of a job well done. It knew that there would be something else waiting when they returned to headquarters, but a certain amount of synthetic pride hung within the droids systems.

Once the Onith class reached max range Rigor sent a signal to Laguz back in the transport bay before pressing the hyperspace switch slowly forward and jumping away.
