GENERAL INFORMATION
COMBAT INFORMATION
• Availability: Uncommon
• Deployment: Limited
• Strengths & Weaknesses:

Strenghts:

-Duct tape: Even with limited tools and parts, the Gearheads are skilled at repairing about anything that lands in their hands. While these repairs are more often then not of a makeshift nature, they still suffice to keep the gear of their allies running for a bit longer.

-Try This: Give a Gearhead enemy tech, and a few hours later he will tell you how to use it. They won't know why it works, but they know it does, and where to point it to get the most out of it.

-Instant Outpost: Ever tried to build a gang hideout in a city made from scrap? If yes then you know how important a certain level of creativity and ingenuity is requiered for such a task. The Gearheads can build short term fortifactions in little time out of pretty much anything, making them a useful aid in most sieges.

-Cybernetics: The Gearheads are often outfitted with simple, yet effective cybernetics augmentations to aid them in their work. These include comlinks, Psicoms to communicate with terminals and droids, scanner arms and digital lockpicks.

Weaknesses:

-Shortcuts and shortouts: The drawback of a makeshift Engineer is the fact that all thier repairs are makeshift. While something made useable again by the hands of a Gearhead will work a bit longer, it won't work that much longer before falling apart completly, and sometimes with unplanned side effects like electric shocks or explosions. Also vehicles repaired by the Gearheads are notorious for breaking down in the worst of moments.

-Fight like an Engineer: They fight even worse then the weapons they have repaired.

-Was that important?: Sometimes tech "repaired" by the Gearheads will simply refuse to work, as something important was left out when placing anything back togehter.
• Description:

"Did you try to turn it off and on again?" - Battlecry of the Gearheads

In a gang you always have people got at shooting at other people. Yet if you plan to do that for longer than a few days, then you better have someone with equal skills at repairing things to shot people. Tinkeres, Patchers, Idioits with a multitool, or whatever else they get called by their friends.

Among the people of the Free Cities, and the Tainted Legion, these people are called Gearheads. Not very good at pulling the trigger, but good at making sure that the trigger actually does something when pulled. The reaction of the Legion upon spotting a Gearhead vary heavily, depending on the situation:

Shoulder there be an actual issue with their gear, the Soldiers of the Legion will happily greet their support, and praise their work. Should one come by when everything works fine, it is seen as a sign of bad fortune, and most believe that their current tech will begin to break down the second a Gearhead even touches it.
