The GC - 890 "Firestorm" is a mobile artillery unit, capable of wreaking havoc on ground forces, ground vehicles, and enemy batteries and emplacements. It comes with a massive lava cannon and two proto mortars capable of hitting targets far away, while the manually operated mounted turret can dispatch enemies close by, or for defensive measures. It comes equipped with a molecular shielding unit for both defense and to give it extra energy to move.
The artillery unit comes with extra special features. The first is the com-scan is linked up to other "in the field" units to help triangulate and coordinate attacks on far away or nearby targets. The aerial sensor aids in tracking and detecting airborne or atmospheric vehicles. Though the "Firestorm" has no defensive measures to counter such airborne attacks, it can through the com-scan and other communications devices relay the information to those that can counter such attacks.
The broadband transceiver are sensors designed for scanning communications channels, such as enemy comlinks and other enemy communication devices. The advanced targeting sensor allows for tracking more than one enemy vehicle or aerial vehicles. It can track up to twenty targets at a time allowing for each entity to be easily targeted. It can also pass along the information through the com-scan. Another standardized feature is the advanced tracking sensor. This sensor works in junction with the advanced targeting sensor, amplifying the tracking ability.
The zoom magnifier allows tracked or targeted images to be zoomed in for better designation of the target. This system works better for ground forces than aerial ones. The last of these features is the EnhanceScan long-range terrain scanner. This feature allows the artillery unit to scan the terrain and create topographical maps of the area. This assists the artillery unit greatly because of its slow-moving ability. It acts like a defensive system mainly because it prevents the "Firestorm" from having an accident whilst its moving.
