Galtech Tanks and Transports

Nuts and Bolts (Dead, PM Writers Account)

Corporation Name: Galtech
Headquarters: Etti IV
Locations: Etti IV Production | Toola Testing
Operations: Tank Manufacture, and Armored Transports.
Rationale: Financed by Firemane and by the Nayus Family, a well-respected family of authors and engineers.
Tier: Tier 2

Description: Galtech is an independent, small but growing tank manufacturer, it is specialised just on tanks and transports given its size with just a few models being produced, spending its resources in producing a small quality range on a larger scale, it does however have plans for budget option models. It doesn’t have a huge amount of cashflow at present, spending its resources on design, as opposed to manufacture to create the best models it can, having just a few private clients and custom jobs in the past. So it’s linked up with Firemane to have a cash injection, who now own a 40% share in the small company's assets.

Firemane are providing the facilities to handle larger contracts than Galtech could at first, and some of the security at its sites. Its main facility is located on the well-fortified world of Etti IV, with an equally heavily fortified facility of its own there. The production facilities are underground and security clearance is usually quite tight to get inside. Galtech has smaller testing locations on Toola which allow it to test tanks in a wider range of climates and environments, and partners sometimes with Hynator Holdings to outsource the design of certain smaller components.

The company was started because of Tuyor and Fyor's natural love for vehicles and droids. His father is a well respected author and engineer himself, and over time Tuyor turned this into a love for designing vehicles for the open market. He had some successes with civilian transports, but when he and Fyor both together put their minds to making their first armored transport, they found the model very popular with smaller independent groups. Since then the father and son team have had increasing calls to design military vehicles, and together they've assembled a skilled team of engineers and scientists to do just that, drawing on Tuyor's contacts and his engineering background.

Couple of things...
  • What is the [WIP] for? Work In Progress? If so, I would ask that in the future not to submit things to the factory until they are ready to be judged.

  • Fyor Nayus said:
Tier 2 - This represents the 60% of the company Fyor owns
    - What do you mean here? The tier is all that is required. I would adjust this and move the rest of the information to somewhere in the description.

    - While it is fine to only produce tanks at Tier2, you are allowed to produce two products (tank design could theoretically be merged logically into tank production)

1) WIP Old habit apologies - I tend to edit something when I see it, so its easier for me to work this way visually on a sub - Removed as its done now.
2) Tier 2 - Would you prefer I just indicated this in the threads themselves then when they are building something? I thought i'd list it for prudence's sake here, so someone later doesn't say hey look they are producing more than they are capable of at tier 2.
3) Added a second product.

Okay based on your advice i've removed the line.
It was to indicate they had the ability to produce a larger volume than a tier 2 company, because it was financed (and part owned) by someone else.

Thanks for taking the time to review this.

What I can instead do is just list it on the products themselves (showing dual production)
