Galina is a young woman who epitomizes Hapan weakness; she is diminutive, plain of face, and insecure. Her hair is dark, her face is pale and freckled, and her build is waifish.
The Zel'tan family is ambitious. A merchant clan with growing wealth and influence, they seek to climb higher and higher into Hapan society. Galina is the first daughter born to her parents - she has two older brothers, and is consistently regarded as a disappointment who falls short in beauty, strength, and military acumen. At the age of nine, Galina's sensitivity to the Force was discovered, and she was sent to the Hapan Jedi enclave for training.
When the Mandalorian Empire and Sith Covenant jointly seized Hapes and slaughtered the enclave, Galina barely escaped with her life. Her left hand and arm were scarred from the attack, so she often keeps them hidden behind long sleeves.
