Duel Galaxy's Finest...

...scum and villainy gathered in Rik's Cantina today for the final showdown between Dash Farstar and Nero Drake Nero Drake . 20,000 UCs on the line, a pot worth taking home for your average Luke, but for either gambler it was a golden chance to pay their racked up interest with the Hutts.

Spice, death sticks, booze -- all reeked in abundance in this fine establishment, but the stench of a Gamorrean breathing down Dash's neck was far stronger... and somehow far worse.

He placed his bets and drew his hand.

"Hit."

Rik's was a wretched hive surrounded by endless concrete jungle. Space trash from all over the known galaxy washed ashore here, trapped in Coruscant's gravity well. Nero splashed the pot with chips wearing an insufferable grin. Spectators placed side bets mostly in huttese but also using basic and a few other common trade languages.

"Ubana nabukee nu," he taunted Dash Farstar Dash Farstar in a thick outer reaches accent, "Nothing personal, savvy?"

Nero's charming looks clashed with a Dark Star Hellions patch on the back of his swoop jacket. Fear of their reputation kept his bike safe outside unattended. He glanced down at his cards and yet the perfect smile never faltered.

"I'll take that action."

1st round: 4
2nd round: 12

"We'll see about that, kid." Dash smirked, faking confidence in the weak hand he'd started with. The next draw boosted his chances but he was still far off from a good hand.

Maybe too far.

He risked it anyway; Corellian's luck and all that.

"Hit."

The smuggler hoped lady luck smiled on the next and final round.

Nero Drake Nero Drake

Nero laughed.

"You're a diamond, mate."

Fortune had provided the young gambler with a decent hand. Dash Farstar Dash Farstar looked just a confident but then again deception was another part of the game. Each draw brought new odds. Nero wasn't a math whiz but something about sabacc had always felt intuitive. Like he could almost see the next hand.

"Heard some tall tales about corellians. Hope you're a better pilot than you are at winning credits."

Drake spared a glance at the rusty old dealer droid.

"Another."
