Along with our Outer Rim affiliate Sullust Central News Network, the Galaxy Beacon will continue to bring you all the latest updates on world events and trade policy throughout Galactic Alliance space and beyond. Wounded by conflict on multiple fronts that marked the onset of what has been termed a Great Galactic War, the Alliance now seeks to regroup and rebuild so that their collective dream of a peaceful and tolerant galactic society free from the destructive yolk of Darkside influence and the suffering such reigns breed will be preserved.

With Sullust and its surrounding systems currently undergoing a refugee crisis in the wake of the First Order's blockade of primary southern shipping lanes, the Triumvirate Council proposed a shift in federal capital back to Coruscant at last, and this decision was soon ratified by the Galactic Alliance Assembly. It is a move that has caused some controversy, both on Sullust and particularly among the Galactic City Authority, which has sparked the growth of a radical independence movement with protectionist values known as Coruscant First. The ultimate fate of Coruscant seems now uncertain as Alliance officials and Coruscant First politicians and civil servants passionately debate the full reach of law.

Reluctant to involve themselves in planetary matters, the Triumvirate is for now occupied elsewhere overseeing massive humanitarian relief operations carried out by the Defense Force first on the devastated world of Thyferra, and now in reaction to the downfall of one of the Alliance's neighboring powers and closest allies, the peaceful Free Worlds Coalition. Another casualty of this Great Galactic War, worse yet many see these fallen systems as a further message to the Alliance in retaliation for aligning with Silver Jedi forces against the Sith Empire on Mirial.

GADF efforts to secure former Coalition worlds Alderaan and Corellia are well underway, and both the Galactic Alliance Guard and New Jedi Order are conducting investigations on nearby Dorsis, suspecting arms smugglers are collaborating with a somewhat rejuvenated One Sith Remnant. Meanwhile, not far from Dorsis on the world of Saberhing a Starfighter Corps black op begins to unravel and back on Alderaan Queen Organa is already overseeing efforts to restore New Aldera to her former glory.
