Adieu...
Just over a week since the last update and this one has really flown by.
I’ll start by talking Dominions. We have but one currently and it can be found here. We need to get to 100 posts and no writer can contribute more than 20% i.e. 20 posts. If they hit 21, we need to have 105 posts to qualify. Once we have this nailed, we can look to new planets to bring back into the Republic fold. There is a thread especially for discussing which planets you’d like to look at next – and I’ll come back to that thought later.
Next it’s worth mentioning that we have not one but two Acts going through the Senate so if you’d like to take a look and see how democracy works in action just go here or here. If you’ve never looked before it’s well worth a visit.
And don’t let me forget the military. There’s currently a discussion about what form a Secret Service would take (given the Act in the Senate) and it can be read about and joined in here.
This week-end sees Sera and Tefka chatting about our part of the site. There are one or two…glitches and Sera had gladly volunteered to work with Tefka to look into them – so that can only help. As it’s the week-end, she gets double-pay of course – but as she works for free, well…she gets extra praise instead.
Now I mentioned previously about Dominions and what I didn’t say was tell us what planets you’d like us to work on. This is a Faction with over 500 characters. Decisions like this benefit from IC and OOC input but we all ‘own’ the Faction. So going forward, we plan to use a more collegiate approach to things. For example, the FA team have some great ideas about how to improve things for the Jedi – but three people shouldn’t make those decisions – nor simply bring them to be voted on.
So, please use this thread to volunteer if you’d like to be part of a small working group for any of the following:
1. Jedi – roles, promotions, the Council and its role, membership of the Council, character development, Jedi Trials etc. etc. (clearly none of these are an exhaustive list)
2. Dominions and Invasions – deciding on which planets, setting them up, encouraging people to participate, proposing objectives etc. etc.
3. Faction relationships – could be an IC or an OOC role, so could suit politicians as well as any writer who wishes to ensure we have a working relationship with every friendly and neutral Faction
4. Anything I’ve missed – if there’s a need you see and we haven’t plugged it, let us know.
How to let us know? Post here, PM me, Kian or Sera or Skype us if you know us. It’s our Faction, let us all be part of running it the way we want.
