Re-founded in 862 ABY after meeting with several Political Action Committees and think tanks, Gat Tambor consulted with his speculatory committee for the possibility of running for Chancellor of the Galactic Alliance and the ultimate determination that control of the media bias would give Gat the best advantage in running against the then incumbent Chancellor Chandra and thus Tambor began to funnel funding for GNN, initially operating as an independent media company, utilizing Federation resources to offer war correspondence during the Third Imperial Civil War before eventually expanding its corporate offices and beginning to establish a Galactic wide media presence.
RATIONALE
Gat Tambor funded the creation of Galactic News Network with the purpose of molding the media narrative and view of his activities in politics and business with the hopes of benefiting him and demeaning his business and political adversaries.
