They were gathered here together to discuss the issue of Privateering. Most specifically, how Privateering might benefit the Alliance in the current conflicts with the Enclave and the Sith. Privateering, as a concept, had been explored within the Galactic Alliance before. However, war called for some harsher realities than had previously been authorized. The Galactic Alliance, in general, was loathe to put forward payment for heads taken and facilities destroyed.
But Maldor felt this was a great time to put forward explicit bounties for death- not only for the confirmed killing of enemy soldiers, but also for the destruction of vehicles, ships, and installations. The more weight of conflict taken up by privateers and bounty hunters, the less would need to be carried by galactic alliance forces. Among the trillions of citizens of the Alliance, there were surely tens of thousands willing to risk their life and limb in exchange for cold, hard credits.
That was a resource to be harnessed. And quickly, with explicit rewards for explicit goals. Someone had to set those rewards in concrete terms.
Here, they would discuss whether to post these bounties, and if so, what numbers should be associated with them, what targets should be rewarded, and what should be accepted as proof of death.
