A Light In the Dark
"On the Seventeenth of March, the First Order seeks to lay claim to the Galactic Alliance held Hex of Mustafar."
We have been given permission by the FOs of both factions to participate in this war as it progresses, provided we remain neutral third parties.
Our plan is to coordinate those who wish to participate in the "Hot Zone" event- i.e. the Invasion itself- and work with the narrative as it unfolds between FO and GA to enhance the story for both sides. We will not be taking sides, IC or OOC- I need to stress this.
If your character has ties to either side, but you would rather work with OSL than with your faction, you are still welcome, and there is *wonderful* RP opportunity for folks torn. But if you are participating as part of the OSL, our official stance is as Third Party "White Helmets," there to treat the wounded on either side and protect/evacuate any civilian presence.
We would not be joining the thread at post one- we would be stepping in once the action got down and dirty (I will do my best to provide an intro post that gives everyone the info they need). The biggest thing is that OSL will be working within the framework set up by the two primary players.
Someone crashed an SD into a city? We work with that.
Someone starts a Force Storm over a broad area and there's a civilian med lab there? We work with that.
Indiscriminate heavy weapon fire in a residential zone?
You get the idea.
We are not there to make up atrocities, but to react to the story as it unfolds.
I know that not all characters in OSL are suited to Hot Zone deployment. If you would like to be involved but don't really know how that would work for you, feel free to ask and we can try to work something out. We may also be involved in a "Clean Up" thread with the victors, but that is obviously pending how this all goes down.
