Elijah Beckett was born into a pretty extensive family, enough so that family gatherings were practically a circus whenever they happened. With so many high achieving family members, it was always a tall task for anyone to try to reach those same heights. A lot of the Beckett family went on to become Jedi, be it in the New Jedi Order, the Silver Jedi Order or the various other smaller Orders that popped up around the galaxy. Of course, with that came the few that strayed too far, and fell to the corruption of the Dark Side. You didn’t have a large family, without there being some drama that marred it.
HISTORY
All in all, it was the reason that Elijah turned his back to ever following that particular path. Instead he followed the path set forth by his inspiration. His uncle, Samuel H. Beckett, a decorated Admiral within the Galactic Alliance.
Due to Elijah’s desire to steer away from his family’s wishes, it translated into a reputation as a bit of a ‘Lone Wolf’. He’d played his role as part of a squad, but he never shied away from veering off on his own to complete an objective, or to save a fellow pilot.
He gradually rose up through the ranks during the last war, eventually reaching Captain before retiring. It seemed he could never get beyond that point, and at times Elijah wondered if someone in upper brass had it out for him.
But as one war died down, and the galaxy carried on…another war would eventually erupt. Elijah knew his retirement would end eventually, he just didn’t anticipate he’d be recruited into the re-formed Revenant Squadron.
