Dallorian Alloy of the barrel allow the weapon to withstand the rigors of increased payload and ranged bolts, while the barrel's length contributes to larger than normal effective range. These traits allow the officer to meaningfullly contribute to most combat situations without needing to carry separate weaponry for different occasions.
