- Now I am become Death: Even compared to other heavy bombers, the Eradicator is exceptionally well armed, carrying a multitude of warheads and ordnance alike into battle.
- Bulwark: Outfitted with impressive defences and typically defended by other Starfighters, the Eradicator is one tough nut to crack, though its targeting sensor scramblers aren't perfect, especially considering how its poor mobility makes manual targeting a viable option.
- Versatile Destruction: Unlike some bombers, the Eradicator can be stocked with a wide variety of munitions at the same time. Furthermore, the warhead launchers and delivery chutes share a pool of warheads and heavy ordnance respectively.
- Flying Brick: Not only is it fairly slow, the vessel is entirely unsuited for anything even remotely resembling sharp manoeuvring.
- Target Practice: While possessing formidable weaponry and defences, the Eradicator is simply not built for dogfighting, an issue further compounded by it typically lacking much in the way of anti-starfighter weaponry.
- Arcane Design: While robust, the internal workings of the Eradicator is highly compact and, frankly, somewhat confusing. For this reason, as well as the inclusion of masers, maintenance is a complex and time-consuming affair.
- No Hyperdrive: Lacking a Hyperdrive, the Eradicator is forced to rely on a carrier to get to and from the battle.
When Vandiir Consolidated Holdings set out to design the second addition to its "Firebird Series", the decision fell on a heavy bomber. Where the Striker had been a versatile craft, the Eradicator was the polar opposite. The vessel serves one purpose, and one purpose alone: To get to the target in one piece and annihilate it and anything and everyone unfortunate enough to be nearby.
Unlike some bombers, its warhead launchers and delivery chutes share a pool of munitions respectively, making the choice of which to use a matter of convenience rather than necessity. Combined with its impressive carrying capacity and pinpoint accuracy, this allows even a single Eradicator to make a noticable difference if it can make it to its target, and a full squadron can produce truly impressive, or horrifying, results, depending on which side you are on. While normally used, in accordance with its name, to eradicate anyone near the target, the versatile delivery mechanisms allow the vessel to carry everything from its usual deadly payload to non-lethal weapons, such as boarding harpoons and certain types of gas bombs, though one could also fill such munitions with nerve gas, if morality or legality are deprioritized.
