From One to Another

In the Shadows, Ambition Stirs.
Ever since her adoption she had been consistently learning how to control her abilities. She had been working with numerous teachers who could help her hone her natural talent for telepathy. She wanted so badly to prove to her father, and siblings that she wasn't going to just be hanging around, all of them were powerful in their own right, and she would soon follow.

She recently found the help she would need in a powerful mentalist himself. [member="Isley Verd"] . When she met him she immediately took to him as he was one who was kind to her. She had come from a place of turmoil and had no family, and no friends. Only recently had her life been given purpose, and upon that she felt she needed to seize every Oppurtunity she was given, and thus begged the man to become her mentor, one who could take her, shape her, and teach her. She had been sent upon a transport into Confederacy Space to meet up with him and begin. She was given information that he would be on the look out for her transport, and would then take her from there. The ship hummed as it soared through open space.

Il Avali Spaceport, Druckenwell

Weeks prior to the present, the Mandalorian known as Isley Verd had received a rather...surprising...message on his private terminal. 'Twas a heartfelt request from a youngling, pleading guidance and instruction in an art that he specialized within: Mentalism. Normally, Isley was not the type to simply accept such outreaches; as they usually had "trap" or "danger" written all over them...but for reasons beyond him, those instincts were silent as he read the message. Perhaps it was the fact that the words were so obviously written by one who was young and thereby reminded him of his own daughter, [member="Adela Verd"]? Or perhaps it was the providence of the Force that had softened his heart to even consider the request. Whatever the case was, Isley brought the message to the true decision maker within the Verd Household, his wife, and received her blessing to take this unknown little girl under his wing. Of course, this tutelage would come with a variety of benefits: including a spare room within his personal estate, Castle Ne'tra.

But before he could so much as introduce the child to her new dwellings, he had to pick her up from the spaceport first! As such, he awaited the arrival of the transport that she had enlightened him about within the message; and made absolutely certain that his response contained a clear-cut description of what to look for upon landing. The Spaceport of the Druckenwellian Capital was the definition of bustling, and therefore it would be an elementary task to get lost in a sea of faces and baggage...especially for a youngling. So, having informed her that he would be the one in red, Mandalorian armor holding up a sign reading "Dinah", Isley awaited at the designated spot. Fifteen minutes early, the transport then fluttered into the port and began to allow its passengers to disembark. There, Isley waited on the edge of his metaphorical seat for the appearance of his new, young apprentice.

She emerged from the exit of the landing pad, she carried her bag with her as she came to appear in a large group of people whom were either boarding or unloading. She had been learning how to block out the voices of others thoughts, so she was a little nervous, and was almost having an anxiety attack because she didn't want to become overwhelmed.

"Don't feel...don't feel.." she whispered to herself as she looked around for her new mentor. She stretched her gaze to find the one in red, trying her hardest not to bump into anyone but also maneuver through crowds of those much taller than she. She clutched her bag in both of her hands now, and held It close in front of her as she walked. Then her icy blue gaze locked on. Looking into the air she saw a sign that had her name on it, she was relieved, and then from looking at her own eye level she saw red.

She began to pace over at a good speed, to her it seemed fast, but to others viewing her small frame, they wouldn't see her moving any faster than their normal stride. She appeared before the man, and looked up at him with her icy blue eyes, her blonde hair reflecting the lights from above.

"Umm, I'm Dinah. Are you my mentor?" she said in a shy demeanor.
