From Desert of Sand to Desert of Ice

"I'm with you on this Orihime", he shot the comment to her as they walked toward the Knights. No it had not been boring, but eventful and over in a flash before Théo or Orihime could do a thing. So what now? the mission had come to a halt it appeared or was it about to begin?

Théo went to help Knight Sykes with gathering the discarded weapons and piling them away from any more threats. All the weapons had been destroyed, either by Audren or if not Théo put his 'sword' to them to make sure. "Knight Sykes? should be not arrest that man for murder? he killed that woman in cold blood". And the point of the murder was lost on Théo, but murder is never rational.

The bedraggled, weary escaped convicts proved no challenge for two Jedi. After taking out the Zabrak's gun, he'd knocked the male out with a well-placed elbow. The others crumpled like a house of cards with their ringleader out cold. Audren too was fast and effective in dispatching the aggressors.

Théo spoke up, asking about arrest, and Dune agreed. Indeed, he admired the youth's sense of justice and mercy. Some lesser Jedi would've even killed these beings. He'd do well, the Bith decided, this young man.

"I agree with Padawan Théodred. These beings are desperate and were driven in their fear by an instigator. We should arrest them and contact nearby authorities. Though they are apparently escaped criminals, they're still subject to due process."

The Sephi was fairly surprised to not have a new hole in him, courtesy of a blaster bolt. For whatever reason, the fourth convict that had been lunging for the fallen guns had stopped, and the others present hadn't even bothered. He was thankful to be sure, unexpected holes were somewhat difficult to recuperate from. After a moment's pause on his part, he and Theo began gathering the weapons the convicts had carried. The younger man used his own lightsaber to destroy the remaining ones.

Once that was complete, the Heavenshield brought up the concept of arresting the man. The Bith agreed and expanded that from the man to the group, noting that they were all convicts. For his part, Audren also agreed. Unfortunately, he'd not researched local authorities before the trip and had no idea how they'd reach out to them, if indeed they existed. As the organizer of the little jaunt, the Knight expected Dune to have done that sort of research. Their options were limited: the escapees had to be dealt with, but they couldn't be left alone in the Jedi ship, nor was there enough space in the vessel to transport them and the Jedi back to a more civilized location.

"Yes. Knight Rhur, do you know how to contact authorities near here? We can't just leave these people here in this weather while we continue on and we can't put them in the ship."

Unfortunately, it wasn't like there was a universal frequency for this sort of thing. With planets being so frequently in flux and fought over, things changed quickly, with each planet using whatever worked best for their situations. That went doubly so for a planet like Ziost, which was sparsely populated at the best of times.
