Lunara,

I hope this letter reaches you well. While one may have sent a more, galactic standard form of contacting you, I thought it appropriate to send a physical letter. Having seen that you are out within the galaxy, and breathing to be able to receive such letter, it would be sent to you in careful hands, and presented to you on my behalf. After our recent meeting, I have returned to my home, Hora. I am sure you know of such from when I spoke of it years ago as your mentor and guard. It has been in almost constant war with itself since before I were a mere thought. It has been a task, more of an obsession, to see that they were unified together. It is the cause of my leave from the Imperium of your namesake, and the many other facets of the Galaxy I had once been apart of. While it may be of no excuse, I do hope you understand my lack of contact since then.
This is not why I write to you. In fact, I write not of war, but of leisure. While physical combat has lowered drastically, I feel it is safe enough for me to offer an olive branch to you, as well as an invitation to a portion of your people. The Hellynic people are one side of you I am not sure you know much of. I reach out in confidence that I can at the very least talk about the people I know and love with you, or just share stories of the time between then and now.
Should you wish to do so, I do have a location in which we can meet. It would be an honor to be able to see you again in a situation that would not be demanding of our attentions. In a more desirable circumstance.
Regards,
Atheus
It seemed to take forever for the letter to reach Lunara Azure. A young woman who I had once been tasked to train and care for. A glorified guard on some occasions, a shoulder to cry on for others, and even just a friend to talk to. However, those times were in the past. The time I have spent in attempting to quell my obsession of unifying my people under one kingdom, or some form of central government, has taken me away from the galaxy for such a long time. It seemed forever ago that I had gifted the woman a spear in which would aid her with force powers that she had been using. While she may have not been in the forefront of my mind, it was there. Wondering how she fared in the time since I had abruptly left. The Church of Light and the Azure Imperium was not the best place for a woman who had dealt with so much. While I didn't ask, I was wondering of such the Prince she was betrothed to. It was shoved out of my mind quickly before I returned to overlook the balcony of my estate.

A couple walked down the street, arm in arm. Lovely as they could be, I shook my head before returning inside from reading the letter I had written. Folding it upon the table nice and neat, before sending it off on its way. A feeling cropped up within me that I had not felt in years- no. Decade at least.

Nervousness.

Why would I be so damn nervous over a letter? Maybe because now that it was sent out, I couldn't "cancel message" like one could on a datapad. A letter could mean something extremely formal, or- No. It was not that. NO. It was formal. Just a formal letter between old friends who maybe wanted to meet up again.

It wasn't every day that you got a letter from an old friend, from someone who'd known you so many years ago. It almost didn't feel real, a ghost from another lifetime coming back to haunt her. It really did feel like a lifetime ago that she'd met the Hellyni, that he'd taken it upon himself to train her, to at least leave her able to protect herself from any harm the galaxy might throw at her. She could still remember the lessons, hours spent under the backing sun, hours mostly spent being knocked down onto her back by fist, or foot or weapon. It didn't matter which, she'd stood no chance of defeating the warrior, as much as she'd wanted to see him thrown down onto the floor of the training grounds. It was only afterwards that she'd realised how effective his training had been when she'd had to face down a host of bandits and not one of them had managed to land a scratch on her. That didn't really make her feel that she wanted to have to fight someone face to face, but sadly you never knew where the Force would throw at them.

She didn't know she'd did it, why she'd taken the time to come here in the first place...no, no that wasn't entirely true. A single finger ran along the edge of the envelope grasped in her hands, a small smile curling up the corner of her lips. An actual letter? It was so...old fashioned and yet quaint and very much...well him. Delicate fingers grasped the envelope, turning it over and over in her fingers feeling the shelf of the envelope, it was different from a holomail, it carried some heft to it, in a weird way it seemed to carry some element of the man who'd written in.

Carried enough to bring her here, to what was perhaps her ancestral homeworld to meet him. She'd heard of Hora of course, Atheus had made sure of that but she'd never felt any connection to the planet or it's people, even her untrained eye could spot similarities between the world here and Zernia but it had never really interested her.

Perhaps it should have.

The warm afternoon sun flooded the plaza as the crowd moved around her, as she could just walk, losing herself in the press of the people, delighting in that anonymity, at least for now. At least till her eyes settled on the familiar form of her friend, those fingers tapping against her side.

"Fancy meeting a man like you in a place like this."

Seeing her, for the first time in a long time, brought me to give the woman a once over... a couple times as we met up in the plaza. The bustling city of Makrosia was well known for its higher class society. While any other day, I would wear armor, or gear meant for battle, or a fight, today was different. Wearing simple clothing with no weapons, no armor, nothing more. It was supposed to be a social call. Not one that would end with bloodshed.

Seeing Lunara again brought a smile to my face with her question. Clearly poking fun at the kind of man I was. Seeking adventure, danger, and all the more to become physically, or spiritually stronger. Holding both arms out and looking over myself with a sly smile was given to her. An answer to her question in kind. Entirely meant as a joke and in no serious intent.

"So should I keep the formalities of your birthright or act as though you are a common person?"

Closing the distance between the two of us, A part of me wanted to... hug her? It was a strange feeling for me. Awkwardly I reached out with both of my hands to her sides. Inspecting that there was much change in her. A lean but muscular frame. She took good care of herself and kept up on shape. That much was true with our last meeting that were in less than desirable circumstances.

"I see some of my teaching helped you. You look... well."

Not only did she take care of herself physically, but that within the force. Her almost erratic power when we first met, was much more contained and in control. She was not just doing well, but thriving with whatever she was doing. Though she was with the Confederacy, I had no clue where she stood within the ranks. Nor did I care.

"Come, we have much to catch up on. Food and Drink or just a nice overlook?"

The sight of Atheus was a pleasant one, a memory of happier times, a different life. Of combat lessons under the sun and cool drinks in the shade, a memory of smiles and happiness. For the briefest heartbeat the temptation to sink into the warm embrace of the past, to spend a happy moment remembering the good times before the icy cold winds of reality blew those away too leaving a soft sad smile lingering on the woman’s face, not quite reaching her icy blue eyes.

“Hardly a birthright…it was like a friend’s cloak I was borrowing for a little while. It never really fit properly and before I knew it had drifted away on the wind.”

As she spoke the woman’s finger gestured, the force exciting the air around her into a light breeze that tugged at her hair and clothes for a moment. The woman had always had an almost ethereal look to her, but with the wind tugging at her, in that moment she looked like something out of a painting, a fairytale as her hair drifted across her face, obscuring her features for a time as she spoke.

“Here, in this place, those titles wouldn’t have had a place anyway. No…I’m just Lunara, wide-eyed tourist.”

The wind stilled, hair and clothes falling back into place, as if the breeze had never existed, not a leaf or a blade of grass around the woman out of place. Lunara had always been a powerful wielder of the energy that surrounded them, but she’d been raw. Using brute strength and power to batter her way to victory. That had changed though as her experiences, starting with this man’s lessons, had changed her. Power remained tempered by control, her little show as much a chance to show-off to Atheus as a moment of the dramatic.

A little bit of theatre.

“I’m, alive, in this galaxy that’s no small thing. Besides, I couldn’t let down all your training like that. It helped keep me alive, helped me figure some things out along the way.”

The galaxy wasn’t a nice place but she’d survived everything it had thrown at her. Lessons learned, prices paid though the scars were only visible on the inside. A deep breath, a soft sigh in and out before she took a half-step forward closer to her friend.

“Perhaps both, why don’t we find that food and wine then find a nice spot to relax? Someplace to relax and talk? Besides, I could really use that drink.”

A smirk came to my lips for the call of both. Specifically talk of having a drink. Of course, a lady of her caliber would know what a good drink would be. While many of the Hellyni species did drink, most often is was a heavy liquor or wine. Despite being made of fermented fruits native to the planet, it was a rather potent and "dangerous" drink. I had my thoughts on if she would try this one or not. As much as I would love for her to enjoy herself, I didn't want her to be inebriated by the end of the night.

"There is a local play I enjoy. Has some more of our customary food if you are up for trying something new?"

An open palm indicating for us to walk together in a north bound direction, I looked to her and continued as we walked.

"I know you could probably handle yourself with a drink, but we have a wine here that is... dangerous. Very sweet and hardly any taste of the liquid courage, but is stout in its percentage. Its called Dēmēthra's Heart. I..."

Cutting myself off, just smiling and shaking my head as I looked back to her.

"Nevermind, you can choose whatever you'd like to drink. I just know many who have visited Hora can't hold their liquor here like they can elsewhere."

An off hand reaching down into the pocket of my pants to make sure I did have some credits to pay for our food. Otherwise I'd have to go and get some really quick. Luckily I had some on me so it wouldn't be a big deal. Just, I would rather not look like a fool at my own planet when trying to take a lovely woman out to dinner.

Platonic I mean. Not like, a date or whatever. I was just a friend who wanted to meet up with her in a better circumstance.

"Don't mind me, most people I talk to are trying to kill me, or get something out of me. Its a little different talking to someone just for enjoyment."
