Friend or Foe? Decisions... Decisions...(Private)

Christian Slade

In Darkness I Thrive
Christian looked down at the woman's outfit, smirking as he finally really got a good look at what she was wearing. She had very much the body to pull it off, which he wouldn't mind getting to stare at all day, but he could imagine that it wasn't the most comfortable thing she could be in, and it being so revealing might not have excited her either. So, reluctantly he said.

"I might be able to find you something more appropriate for you to wear.", he said, his golden eyes still scouring her form.

"Although I hate to get you out of that outfit. You're pulling it off exceptionally.", he said, smirking as he finally looked up at the woman, those eyes still looking tired despite the golden color still being as vibrant as they always were. "Sure you don't want to walk around naked for a while?", he said, jokingly as he smiled and finally stood up from the couch, turned and slowly made his way into the kitchen where he began to prepared some stimcaf.

It was amusing to hear what the barely awake Sith had to say about her outfit. "...thanks." she replied, laughing a little. "I like your suggestion, but I'd rather not." she replied jokingly as well, grinning back at the young man. She stood up to follow him into the kitchen.

Walking into the kitchen, Paega left Christian to make some stimcaf, while she sat herself down on one of the chairs present inside the room. Glancing back at Christian, she decided to ask him a question.

"Don't you ever get lonely from working alone?" she inquired.

Christian smirked as the woman asked a more personal question about him and his tireless work on his own. "Sometimes...", he said, leaving the answer he was going to give open ended. He then turned with his own stimcaf and walked back across the room, collapsing back on the couch he had been sleeping on. He took a sip of the caffeine packed drink and was immediately more awake than before.

"...yet you wouldn't believe how easy women are to come by on Zeltros.", he said, laughing slightly with the slightest hint of sarcasm.

"I rather enjoy my privacy, and the women of Zeltros aren't more then pretty faces. That is why I don't waste my time with people like them. As far as friends, I have a few here and there, but they are more allies to me than anything else.", he then took another sip of his drink and sighed as he pulled his other arm across the back of the sofa to get more comfortable.

"If I want a woman, I take her. I simply haven't found one yet who is... shall we say...", looking back to Paega, he took another sip of the warm beverage, which was doing a great deal to level his head and wake him up. "...worth my time."

Paega smirked to herself as well at the mention of Zeltron women. It then occured to the blonde Sith Knight that escaping from loneliness could've been a partial reason on why the rogue Sith had chosen to reside on Zeltros.

The young woman had buried her face in her hands again, as she listened to Christian talk about his privacy and friends and the like. Even the Force wasn't helping much in relieving the headaches. Coffee could help in relieving her pain, but Paega despised the bitter beverage to be truthful.

"If I want a woman, I take her. I simply haven't found one yet who is... shall we say ...worth my time." Paega yawned as she put her head back up, her left eye still closed as she looked back at Slade, who had seated himself on the couch back in the living room. "I see." she said simply, lost in a mix between thoughts and hangover. "...I'll be your friend, Christian." Paega murmured back at him, giving Christian a tired but friendly smile from where she was sitting.

Christian smiled for the moment as he heard the woman's genuine statement. A friend? He hadn't had many of those, but he guessed he could only really show her some appreciation as she was only trying to be nice. Still, he didn't think he needed the sympathy. He also didn't think he deserved it either, more so because he hadn't earned any, but that wasn't something he was going to focus on now.

"Thank you, Paega. That is a very kind offer.", he said, taking another sip of his stimcaf and letting the liquid warm his chest as they both continued to gather their senses from the night before. "Alright then...", he the said abruptly as to change the subject. "Would you like to go into the city and find something more suited to your preference? Or would you rather pick through some of the clothing I have here?", he asked, his golden eyes circling the room and falling back to her green eyes.

"I'll buy you whatever you require.", he said with a smirk.

Paega shook her head a bit, grinning though at Christian's offer to buy her whatever she required. "That's nice of you, but if you could just find me a spare robe here, that would be perfect." she said simply, rubbing her forehead now to try and ease her headache.

The blonde Sith Knight then stood up, walked across the kitchen and proceeded to sit herself down on the couch next to the Sith Lord. It was time for her to get to know a bit more about Christian than just his name, Paega decided. "Since you're my mentor now, tell me a bit more about yourself. Where were you born and raised? Where did you train?" she inquired, turning to look at him.

Christian's golden eyes turned on the young woman who now would be considered his apprentice. She asked him personal things about him as he raised from the sofa and made his way to a closet, which he reached inside and pulled out a long white robe. It was meant for him, and so it was close to six feet long, but it wouldn't matter, he guessed, if it dragged on the ground. He never wore it anyway.

Bringing it back to the woman, he draped it across her lap and sat back down on the sofa. He then took another sip of his stimcaf. As he did, those golden eyes circled back to her green ones as he gulped the caffeinated beverage. Sighing after he'd taken his drink, he finally started by saying, "I believe I was born on Dromund Kaas, but I'm not positive. I was alone from a very young age and have used these holocrons to train myself over the years."

"My father left me his before he and my mother were killed, and on that holocron there is forever and essence of him stored there willing and ready to share all of his knowledge of the force with me. That being said, you can understand my obsession with holocrons and my preference to learn the ways of the force on my own.", he said, looking away from her for a brief moment as the thought of his parents crossed his mind.

"Lovely... thanks." Paega replied, gratefully taking Christian's white robe that he had taken out of his closet. It felt both somewhat weird but at the same time good to finally have a less-revealing clothes on her she noted, as she stood up for a second to put the rather long robe on herself.

The blonde Sith Knight would patiently listen to her new mentor speak about his past, how he was alone since a very young age and had used holocrons to train himself over the years. Paega's past was quite similar, except that she had been trained by the Sith Empire and not alone. One thing struck her curious though. "How the feth did you turn out to be so rich..?" Paega asked curiously, wondering if Christian had inherited a fortune or something from his parents.

Christian smirked as she asked about how he'd become so financially sound. As she did, Christian took another sip of his drink, finally becoming fully awake, though his body was still a bit tired from all of the alcohol he had consumed. After gulping the sip down that he'd taken, he turned to her and said, "My mother and father made sure that I was well provided for if the worst of cases was to present itself. When they died, I inherited all of it, though it is not nearly the sum that I have managed to raise for myself."

He said, looking over his large, clean and expensively furnished household. "I used that money wisely, but when it wasn't enough, I stole and I traded and I hunted men down to buy property. The property helped to grow my funds until one day I was able to construct one of the most popular casinos on all of Zeltros, The Red Pearl. After that, money was an issue of the past, and now I own open land, Casinos and Resorts all over this god forsaken world."

Turning his eyes back to the green pair of Paega's staring at him, he finished by saying, "And although I detest Zeltros for the people it attracts and their disgusting agendas, it certainly keeps a man who owns much of it very wealthy."
