Found You | Celty

She frowned. She didn't understand why anyone couldn't trust her master. He had been so good to her over their time together. "Why?" She asked with so much hesitation and fear in her voice that it was palpable. With the Sith, asking questions like why would earn severe punishments. Maybe she really shouldn't have been sitting in Celty's lap when she asked that. "He saved me." She quickly added.

Celty sighed through his nose, and moved his legs to give Mira a little bit more space to sit. He understood well enough what Romeo had done for her. She was in Sith servitude, and he'd broken her free. But, still... Her sort of blind affection towards sin bothered him. He didn't get why. He answered, "I know he saved you, but a few years ago he sacrificed a large number of people to kill his father on Coruscant. He abandoned his empire and his family to kill one person. That... bothers me a lot."

"Not even counting that he was very, very dead the last time I saw this ship flying anywhere."

"Maybe he changed," Mira shifted in his lap as he adjusted to settle down easier. For some reason, she felt very comfortable around Celty. Maybe this was the start of the thing people called trust? "If he was dead, he's been given a second chance at life." She thought about him turning on his family. "He can't be bad anymore. He gave me a second chance."

She bit her lower lip absentmindedly. Someone saving one small life from death was enough to say someone was redeeming themselves. Or was it? Mira wasn't all that important. Maybe that was the point though? "People are given second chances for a reason," there was again hesitation in her voice.

Celty sighed and gently put a hand on Mira's shoulder, smiling a bit sadly, "I wish I shared your optimism towards Romeo... But, well, I can't help but wonder who brought him back to give him his second chance. Maybe he isn't bad, but I just... don't trust him. Hell, I don't trust my grandpa, either. Romeo's admiral..."

He pulled her into a loose hug and felt himself tearing up as he continued, "Romeo's just like my granddad, alright? He just sleeps around and then leaves people behind. It's... just what these people do. I'm sick of them all. The only good thing your teacher probably ever did in his life was save you."

She felt herself hug Celty back wordlessly. What could she possibly say in response to that? Taking a breath, she let herself loosen up, snuggling closer into his chest. Was it really a good thing that she'd been saved? Was it even really a good thing that she existed to begin with? The words of her old slaver came to mind. She was weak. And useless. And stupid. And annoying. "Why did Romeo save me?" She wondered out loud. She wasn't any good to anyone.

Celty suddenly felt really sad... but it wasn't coming from him. He was feeling somebody else's sadness. The redhead wrapped his arms a little bit tighter around Mira and whispered, "Whatever you're thinking about... Just... Don't. I can feel 'em... It's the kind of thoughts that make you wonder why you still wanted to be alive in the first place."

He let his head drop gently to rest on Mira's hair and finished, "The question isn't why he did... It's more like... What're you gonna do, since he did? I'm here for a little while, and then I know we're gonna see each other again sometimes, but... I don't know how to help people decide things."

Her arms tightened around Celty as tears began to fall. He could feel her. He could feel her pain, her fear, he understood her. She didn't think Romeo had that ability so really Celty was the only one who understood her. She liked feeling understood. It made her feel more human, and not the emotionless droid that her previous masters forced her to be.

"I...." Her voice was so small, so shaky. "I want to keep training. I want to become stronger. For master." She pressed herself closer against her new friend. "For all the people who hurt me....for all the people that helped me."

((OOC: Sorry, I sort of needed to go find this in my notifications... Also, sort of testing out a new writing format. Easier for me to write with text centered. Sort of.))
Celty smiled gently as Mira kept talking and pressed up against him. One of his hands came up to wipe the tears off her face.
"You're a total sweetheart, you know? The only person I ever wanted to get stronger for was a girl... and then she disappeared... and then I was only fighting for myself. It's a good feeling, but it gets lonely, sometimes."
He used one finger to push Mira's chin up so he could look her in the eyes.
"I hold grudges, and I never let them go. Ever. You're way stronger than me."

She stared up at [member="Celty Ikon"] with red eyes. A small smile had slipped onto her face when he said she was a sweetheart, but disappeared to be replaced with a look of shock. She was stronger than him? She shook her head slightly. That was impossible, she could sense the Force in him. She could sense its strength. "But I can sense the Force in you," she glanced down at her trembling hands as she tried to sort out her thoughts.

"It's strong." Then she realized, it didn't matter how much Force he had while she lacked in it. She could get stronger there too! Hesitatingly, she lifted her hand towards one of the cleaning rags left next to his bike. Focusing hard, she willed the cloth to move. It didn't budge. "You're strong too! Can you...um...help?" Her gaze flicked back to him, then back to the cloth. It still refused to move.

Celty smiled at Mira again, slipping his hand around hers and reaching out to the Force with her. The cleaning rag flew up and hit him in the face. Wonderful showing off, really. He pulled the piece of cloth off his face and looked into her face.
"What I meant is that you're a stronger person than me. I spend more time than I care to admit trying to find and hurt people who've hurt me. The fact that you don't... that's amazing."
[member="Mira Starwind"]

Mira couldn't help but laugh when the cleaning rag smacked [member="Celty Ikon"] in the face. "You're silly," She giggled as she climbed off his lap and got to her feet. So he thought she was a strong person? Strange...she didn't see herself as strong. She was still hurt. She was still in pain. She glanced down at her wrist, where the marks of her slave shakles dug deep into her pale skin still remained.

"Nope," she refocused on the cloth, imagining it moving again. It didn't. "I still have to train. I have a long way to go and..." She paused, a sad look coming onto her face. "And I got no one who's interested in doing so." Her thoughts went to her master, who was never around to train her. She hardly thought he cared. But who would care about weak girl like her anyway? Other than Celty. But once she was all trained, a proper dark Jedi, she would find those Sith.

Celty stood up and gently ruffled up Mira's hair.
"Just because I can't train you, doesn't mean you can't call me to show off, right? And... when I find the person I'm looking for, I'll introduce you. I'll find you friends to train with."
He hugged her again, looking at her wrist. Seeing things like that always made him sad. It made him want to protect her... be her friend.
"Besides, there are other ways to fight that have nothing to do with the Force. Different ways to be strong."
