Forging a Way [Ijaat]

All her trials and tribulations had been worthwhile. Every wrong turn, every loss, had proven to be in accordance with some end goal. The thought soothed her mind and aided in reducing the ache of the void that lay within at the loss of Fuz. It did not make what happened any better, it did not excuse Krius of his actions, but at least it brought some small peace of mind. It had not been in vain.

Having set off from Teth just two days prior, having returned there to drop off some of the credits she had made on Lianna, Jyn was stretching across to a region of space she had never seen before. While she had been excited to learn all that she had, and while she fully intended to return to Teth, there was one last thing she had to do for the lost companion.

Generis was a world that Jyn had ventured to just once in her life, during her escape from the Sith Empire. While it had been brief, it was during this time that the girl had happened upon Fuz. As a result, the planet held more worth to her than most, and it was a fitting place to try and let go of the burden she felt at his loss.

Before she reached the world, however, Jyn had to make a detour to a different planet altogether. Albeit, one which remained within Mandalorian space. Touching down on the planet, which honestly Jyn had no idea of the name of - she wasn't much of a pilot yet - she instructed the droid to remain onboard and ventured down the ramp. Blinking, she forced her eyes to adjust as the world came into view around her.

Abundant in life, she found it a stark change to Teth and its isolated Temple. Turning back, and changing her mind as many were subject to doing, she informed the droid that he should refuel the ship before she returned. A simple enough task, yet it would keep the droid busy in her absence at least.

(you're welcome to make it whatever planet you like!)

Ijaat had, for the first time in a very long time, taken a trip home to Concord Dawn. It was an unpleasant proposition for most, but one he felt he had to make. There had not been a trip to see the graves of his father and other family in years, if not almost a decade. So, one would find the mandalorian wearing a neatly pressed dress uniform of snow white, golden piping running the length of the garment. Medal bars decorated the left of his breast, marking his accomplishments, and a sword gleaming with electrum and corsuca gems hung from his side on a belt decorate in a similar fashion, a HDSS on his wrist blinking but inactive. He was ignoring Geoff for right now, even as notices and pings came in through his ARC contacts. Whilst no one could see it, Ijaat was constantly connected to the HoloNet and other such technological devices thanks to some illicit black market technology. In fact, the only noticable bit of tech other than the HDSS was a blaster holstered to his thigh, folded in a concealed box like holster to conceal any clue of what it was.

As he walked through the city, he stopped at the space port to check on his ship before venturing out to the country to check on the family graves. They should still be maintained near his childhood home, and he wanted to see if any of his fathers smithing equipment still remained locked or hidden for him to take, even if only as a memento. Grunting, he stopped in front of a recently arriving ship and pulled his wrist up, clicking it as a hovering form of light appeared projected from it, a foot tall shaped nothing so much like a replicate of Ijaat but with no medals or rank insignia. It gazed up at him and spoke in a cultured, accented voice.

"Let me guess, sir.... You can't remember the hangar the ship is in so you can get the flowers for your mothers grave? 190-B, three further ahead."

Nodding, Ijaat kept walking, leaving Geoff's connection up and maintained as he began to walk through the hallway and directly into [member="Jyn Sol"], still being lectured by his A.I. about the duties of a son to departed parents and trying, unsuccessfully to defend himself from said lecture.

The City she had landed in to refuel was extremely dusty, with sand blowing up into her face whenever anyone cut ahead of her in the street. Shielding her eyes with one hand, the young girl continued to walk on, doing her best to navigate without running into anyone. Heading to Generis was not on a timescale and thus she had time to explore the City and hopefully stock up on some supplies. But this world was so alien to her that she did not know where to begin.

The harsh environment would have reminded her of Korriban, had the air not been warm. Korriban, by contrast, was dry yet cool - a result of the perpetual darkside aura the planet possessed. It had bewildered her as a child, yet now it was just another trivial matter. It was very rare that the child of Dromund Kaas learned anything of interest these days. Not that it necessarily mattered, knowledge was wonderful and all... but survival was better. Until she adjusted to being a grown-up (which in truth she wasn't yet, even if she had been forced into absolute maturity!) that was all that she could do. Maybe one day, the finer points of life could be built upon too.

So lost in her thoughts, and with her hand shielding the majority of her view, Jyn was honestly not surprised when she ran headlong into an individual and fell back against the dirt path. Winded for a moment, she drew in a sharp breath and tried to ease the pain of the blow. Lifting her gaze she was met with the outline of a face, framed by the sun. Grateful that whoever it was had their head in the way from the glare of light, she swiftly tripped over her words. "I... I'm sorry!" she muttered, quite incoherently however.

Oh, what a stupid thing for her to have done. Quickly she attempted to rise up from the ground so as to lessen her embarrassment. Checking the ground to make sure she hadn't lost anything, but also to ensure she hadn't caused him to drop anything, Jyn ran a hand across the back of her neck and rubbed awkwardly at it. "I should have been watching where I was going.."
