An idea floating around in my head for a long time, is to host a competition for weapon- and armorsmiths. Gathering all those whos characters are incredible in their craft but aside from the Factory have rarely the opportunity to show and talk about it in a RP thread. This is meant to focus on it, show some skills and make it an IC competition.

And while impressive in its own right, this is for technology and craft, not Force imbued or Alchemy items.

For the competition I would probably set a vote of who is coming up with the best item, crafting post(s), background and maybe sub, all together - but thats just an initial thought and open for ideas!

The thread should be public, non-confrontation, so that anyone can participate and spectate. Maybe having some festivities going on as well for those who wanna look but engage in social stuff.

I thought about some Semi-Unique item for all participants and a unique one for the winner of the competition.

What are your thoughts? Input? Offers? Takers?

Hmmm. I don't have any characters who are makers unto themselves - Gem might when she gets older - except for maybe Scratches-Metal who is a Pod Racer. Bal Tal would have people on his payroll that makes replica Rakata artifacts, though
