- Description: The Forge of Khemost is an ancient underground forge. It is used as the primary source of special weapons, armor, and other equipment made by House Io. Setting it apart from the House's mobile factories, the items produced here are usually Unique or Semi-Unique rather than mass-produced, with a particular focus on enchanted or alchemized gear.
The Forge - A large and well-ventilated structure featuring a mix of both refurbished original and modern technology. Force Adepts and craftsmen trained in the refining, smelting, forging, casting, tooling, and enchanting of metal and other materials work around the clock on various projects, typically those commissioned by Darth Xiphos or other high-ranking members of House Io.
The Holocron of Janus the Magus - Discovered in the Forge when it was first unearthed, the holocron was created by Gaius Nautilus Hieronymous Janus the Magus, the former Master of the Forge. Typically shortened to Janus the Magus, the Gatekeeper of the holocron is a representation of the former Master, a squat, foul-mouthed Ssi-ruuk. In exchange for restoring the Forge, the Gatekeeper agreed to pass on its knowledge of blacksmithing and weapon-enchanting to House Io.

The Forge of Khemost is ancient, having been built thousands of years ago during the heyday of the planet. As Khemost slipped into obscurity, however, so too was the Forge forgotten. Its massive machinery fell silent, and the embers of the smelting fires cooled.
Recently, the Forge has been rediscovered by House Io, along with many of the legendary treasure planet's other secrets. Darth Xiphos, the Matriarch of House Io, eagerly set about restoring the Forge to its former glory, sparing no expense in refurbishing and updating its equipment, and employs a team of trained blacksmiths to keep it running. The Forge is reserved for the creation of special items, especially enchanted gear; mass-produced equipment is not manufactured here.
