Public Forest of the Heart | Tales From the Symiretsuo Nebula

Vera's Armor, biological based, reacted to the burst of lightning by bubbling everywhere like Vera's flesh, but took thd blast, though some parts of her skin burned a little all the same, eliciting small metallic, pig like squeals of pain from the Android. The joints went a little stiff as she was pushed backward by the blast slightly...

But only slightly.

The Android instantly figured out what had gone wrong. The weapon Ashin Cardé Varanin Ashin Cardé Varanin used had been altered alchemically. It had absorbed the power of the staff and sent it back to her.

The Android wagged her finger comically at the Sarah Connor Expy, and advanced, shutting off the power to her electro staff and resumed her attack, this time at her legs, her electronic mind calculating combat strategy. She used her relative Laertia's preferred fighting method. Form 1.

ANALYZING COMBAT METHOD

PROCESSED

FORM 1 VARIANT OF OPPONENT RATED AT VERY HIGH QUALITY

FORM 1 TYPICAL WEAKNESSES INCLUDE WEAKNESSES AT 1 V. 1 DUELS, LESS USEFUL AGAINST BLAST DEFLECTION, TECHNIQUE BEING CLOSER TO TYPICAL SWORDFIGHTING

POSSIBLE SOLUTION: ATTACK ALL ZONES WITH MAXIMUM SPEED AND STRENGTH. RANDOMIZED ATTACK PATTERN CRESH SELECTED.

Vera became a frenzy of deadly staff attacks, nigh unpredictable at how she struck for every exposed limb she could find. But Veranin was a crafty duelist and had lasted much longer than most unlucky enough to cross her path. She could easily use her experience to fend off an admittedly deadly assault, but Vera was trying to make a defense as difficult as possible, striking with full strength at odd angles to try and thwart parry attempts and force her enemy to expend energy blocking the deadly flurry...

Ashin Cardé Varanin

Couple bodies in the garden where the grass grows
Vera Mina Vera Mina 's assault ramped up in intensity and switched tactics. It reminded Ashin of an untrained but strong opponent - or, no, more like a training droid set to random attacks, or even a blasterfire storm. But pressed as she was, with her back to the tree, all thought of analyzing the enemy's hidden nature went on pause. As Jentaral crashed against the electrostaff over and over, still on pure defense, Ashin bared her teeth in a smile. Whoever or whatever was inside the shadowfield, it was giving her the first decent challenge she'd faced in a while. And she found she was enjoying herself on a visceral level, despite accumulating burns from stray sparks, and aches and pains in her joints. The Force Drain ritual had given her power to burn. It would see her through.

Lightning didn't work? So be it. Plenty of things could tank electricity, with or without armor. An electrostaff, however...couldn't.

Jentaral kept stealing electrical power with every strike, in the manner of a high-quality classic Sith sword. The next time Ashin released it with a flick of thought, she did so on impact. The potential difference between Jentaral and the electrostaff had leaned in the staff's favor by design; now it reversed as Jentaral poured serious amperage into the technological weapon, far beyond its capacity to take. The goal here was to make the electrostaff explode in Vera's gorram face. Electrostaff grips were insulated, so Ashin didn't expect to electrocute Vera.
