PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION
Fordja Awuda is a noticeably tall Mandalorian woman, standing about 6'2". She has a lean, athletic build, her physique shaped by hard living, travel, and survival on her barren homeworld, rather than formal training. She has dark hair, usually kept long and fashioned into braids, often with small pieces of beads and ornaments woven into her hair. Often, she tries to collect some small trinket to add into her braids for every planet she visits. She likes keepsakes. Her Mandalorian armor is old and incomplete. It consists of pieces inherited from her parent alongside armor she has salvaged and repaired herself. The suit lacks the uniformity of the armor worn from many decades of battle, one that Fordja had only been told stories of.

PERSONALITY AND BELIEFS

Fordja's taught her about Mandalore, the clans, warriors who came before them, old customs, and traditions that the Sith tried to destroy. Of course, being entirely from one woman, with little context around these stories, crafted in a way to hide her shame from fleeing from the Sith; there is much to question on what exactly she was taught.

While Fordja is proud to be Mandalorian, but she does not know anything about being one. She has never lived in a clan settlement or trained in a traditional Mandalorian warband, but she would like to learn about them. Most of what she knows came from one person: her mother. Because of this, Fordja values memory enormously, as much of it is a continuation of her mother's memory; though things that clearly contrast that may prove difficult for her to grapple with.

STRENGTHS
Resourceful: Fordja grew up with very little and learned to repair, improvise, salvage, and survive.

Determined: Once Fordja decides upon a goal, she is extremely difficult to turn away from it.

Physically Capable: Her height, athletic build, and endurance make her well suited to long journeys and physical confrontation.

Survivor: She is comfortable living outside civilization and knows how to conserve supplies, travel discreetly, and make use of whatever resources are available.

Observant: Growing up in hiding taught Fordja to pay attention. She notices small details, unusual behavior, and potential threats.

Cultural Memory: Fordja has deliberately memorized the stories and names her parent gave her.

Independent: Fordja is accustomed to solving problems herself.

WEAKNESSES
Inexperienced: Fordja lacks the formal training and communal experience that generations of Mandalorian warriors may have received.

Incomplete Armor: Her armor is assembled from inherited, salvaged, and repaired components.

Limited Resources: Fordja has little money and no powerful clan backing her.

Idealized Past: Fordja knows much of Mandalorian history through stories and has an emotional attachment to a society she never experienced.

No Clan: Her clan is effectively gone. She has no established family network, political protection, or community.

HISTORY

Fordja Awuda was born far from Mandalore.

Her mother was survived the Sith Empire's destruction of their homeland. However, rather than fight a hopeless war or risk being captured, she disappeared into the wider galaxy, leaving her clan, and family to perish on their own terms. Fordja was never told the details, or even the reasons behind the conflict with the Sith, but she did know that the war deeply, and personally, hurt her mother. She would be born on Toola, and grow up in the frigid weather of the ice world. Much of their survival depended on hunting, and straight luck at times. Fordja and her mother would at times trade and barter with locals, but for the most part, their existence remained largely off the grid.

Regardless, her mother still took to teaching Fordja what skills she could use, hand to hand, tracking, marksmanship. Fordja's mother dreamed that perhaps one day, they would be able to return to a united Mandalore, and experience the golden age. Of course, as life tends to do, it derailed the plans of the pair, as Fordja's mother would die after a rather sudden and brutal hunting accident, leaving her to consider her mothers wishes. Though it took time, Fordja was able to charter a shuttle, and begin flying off world, ship to ship, trying to find these Mandalorians she was told of. Having inherited the armor of her mother, much of it is not properly sized, old, and frankly needs a new paint job. Given the nature of her trip, and her rather few credits, she has been forced at several points to stop and perform bounties, in order to garner enough livable earnings to move onto the next world.

Needless to say, while it is slow going, she intends to realize her mothers dream, even if the woman is not here to share it.
