Force Tradition Cheat Sheet (Minus Anything Ep7 Related)

[member="Kiskla Grayson"]

Acolytes of the Beyond - Dark Side cult, apparently venerated Vader etc.
Aing-Tii - Strange powers, Force as a spectrum of colours, very alien, obsessive and reclusive, extremely ancient (~25,000 years)
Angelii: Chaos canon. Lawful Neutral, all-female Eldorai praetorian guard and shock troops who serve the Eldorai Queen. Specialise in elemental powers, officially seen as warriors of the Goddess Ashira. Very big on discipline, reject a Light and Dark view of the Force. Use traditional Eldorai weapons like the sarix blade, but also modern firearms.
Baran Do - Kel Dor tradition, Light Side, big on electromagnetic manipulation, some weird tricks, extremely ancient (~25,000 years)
Believers - minor Dark Side cult based in the Cularin system
Black Legions - Early Dark Jedi elite unit led by XoXaan, ~8,000 years ago.
Blackguard - Sith splinter group obsessed with collecting knowledge from other Force traditions; believed that the purpose of gaining Force power was to understand the universe. In Chaos canon, Velok was a Blackguard, and others have been associated with that tradition, including [member="Dissero"], Jared Ovmar and, to some extent, [member="Spencer Jacobs"].
Blazing Chain - Unknown Regions pirates, generally Dark Side but don't care if you lean Light
Boughtine - very little known
Cerean Ner Yan - Cerean tradition, Light Side, associated with mind-melds and Kasha meditation stones
Chatos Academy - pre-Jedi Light Side chivalric tradition, extremely ancient (~35,000 years)
Corellian (Green) Jedi - Exactly what it says on the tin. Our local expert on their traditions and practices is [member="Julius Sedaire"]
Cruthauses - very little known
Dagoyan Masters - Bardottan/Phuii tradition focusing on insight; superb mental defenses. In Chaos canon, the Underground and Clan Rekali evacuated them when the One Sith conquered their planet. Most of them are currently in hiding.
Disciples of Shaa - Seylott tradition, very ancient, involved icon veneration
Disciples of Twilight - Light Side tradition, very stealthy, lots of photokinetic cloaking etc., wanderers and loners. In Chaos canon, [member="Cira"] is secretly a Disciple, and [member="Quenladose"] has dabbled in the tradition also.
Ela b'Yentarr - Bosph Force tradition, driven to extinction, ritualistic, several subgroups and specialties
Fallanassi - Light Side mentalists/illusionists, matriarchal, rigidly non-interventionist. Note that in Chaos canon they evacuated Pydyr en masse, in response to a Sith threat. They currently live, secretly, on one of the moons of Kyrikal in Wild Space. The best-known surviving Fallanassi character is [member="Nohemi Allaneh"].
Far Seekers - very little known
Fellowship of Kooroo - lots of sham practitioners and meaningless rituals, shrines across the galaxy, associations with telepathy, roots are ancient (~20,000 years or more)
Findsmen - Gand tradition based on tracking and farsight, ritualistic
Followers of Palawa - Dark Side associations, big in Teras Kasi, very ancient (~25,000 years or more), currently hermits on Bunduki
Force Adept - catchall category, generally including Force-sensitives from primitive worlds, self-taught, etc., but also including better-trained Force users
Force Hound - servants of the Rakatan Infinite Empire, long gone (~25,000 years)
Force Warrior - more a calling than an organization; included some Jedi and some non-Jedi; Light Side orientation
Frangawl Cult - enemies of the Dagoyan, Bardottan/Phuii Dark Side tradition, Nightsister associations, Force Drain sacrifice rituals
Freedon Nadd Cultists - Naddists were a big deal on Onderon and Dxun about 5,000 years ago
Gray Paladin - Light Side orientation, used tech and blasters rather than lightsabres, could do trick shots and shoot enemy blaster bolts out of the air or redirect them
Guardians of Breath - Kashi tradition, very ancient (~25-35,000 years), big on healing and growth of crops, scattered a long time ago. Related: Royal Machetero, ancient Kashi sword guards.

H'Drachi Seers - H'Drachi tradition, big on precognition and visions
Inner Seers - very little known
Ithorian Priests of the Mother Jungle - strict pacifists, big on plant care and healing; some are capable of reversing Force severing.
Jal Shey - major Light Side crafting tradition, at least 5,000 years old, rarely teach those they consider warriors, make Force artifacts usable by NFUs. Wanderers and mediators.
Jar'Kai - Atrisian sword fighters, very old tradition, revived and Forcified on Chaos.
Jarvashqiine - Dark Side shamanistic tradition, big on blood rituals
Jensaarai - Generally Force-neutral (both dark and light heritage/principles) though some hated the Jedi and others joined them. Strange lightsabre style. Individualized cortosis armour. Focused on the defense of a single system, Suarbi. In Chaos canon, talk to [member="Veino Garn"] and the Galactic Alliance.
Keetael - Draethos tradition, generally Force-neutral or Light, big on tracking and farsight.
Kilian Rangers - obscure Light Side chivalric tradition, limited numbers, big on primitive weapons and blocking things with shields. Mara's in the process of visiting them -- first one in Chaos history, apart from a brief visit by [member="Matsu Ike"].
Krath - Sith cultists from the Empress Teta system. Big on Dark Side artifacts and illusions. In Chaos canon, they were reintroduced by Silara Kuhn before her death, IIRC.
Imperial Knight - Force-neutral/Light orientation, big on order.
Knights of Zakuul - Force-neutral - big on justice, low on mercy - believed the Force should only be used to enforce law - blue lightsabres.
Legions of Lettow - Dark Jedi group, predecessors of the Sith, ~25,000 years ago. Led by the Kashi Mer exile and fallen Jedi Xendor.
Luka Sene - Miraluka Force tradition, great with Sense powers, some special tricks.
Malevolence - A cult that worshipped Darth Andeddu
Mandalorian Knights - failed project around 5,000 years ago
Matukai - big on melee combat and physical resilience, Light oriented, notable for being one of the few traditions alleged to be able to teach its abilities to people who would normally fail Force-sensitivity tests, though it takes a couple of decades. (The others are the Fallanassi, the Aing-Tii, and the Fellowship of Kooroo. We're talking about decades of devotion, binding oaths, etc.)
Mecrosa Order - Ancient, still extant Tapani Sector (House Mecetti) assassin tradition.
Mind Walkers - Astral projection until you starve to death. Thanks but no thanks. Once based in the Maw and mostly wiped out.
Nuns of G'aav'aar'oon - Gamorrean monastic tradition, Light oriented, apparently capable of bending probability (their enemies wind up with fungal infections and computer viruses). Based on a remote asteroid.
Obsidian Order Chaos-Canon. Neutral/Dark Lawful Force tradition basing around the creation of armor, with modules and technology to strengthen a Force user's breadth of skills.
Omenada - An Unknown Regions tradition of peacemakers and mediators.

Omwati Force tradition - an Omwati Force tradition. Very little known. Probably involved being ethereal, dysfunctional, and smart.
Order of Dai Bendu - pre-Jedi Light Side tradition (~36,000 years ago and more), led into the Je'daii and then the Jedi
Order of Shasa - Selkath Force tradition, based on Manaan, wiped out once or twice, some really cool powers and a taste for cortosis swords. In Chaos canon, they've rebuilt and operate in secret.
Order of the Selab - Chaos canon. Secret association formed during the start of the Dark Age, around the time of the Gulag Virus. Comprises members from all walks of life. Symbol is the Selab tree from Hapes. Focused on preserving knowledge and keeping the dangerous bits hidden. Prone to secret stashes, vault ships, and hideyholes. Current Grandmaster, as of several IC years ago, is [member="Ilias Nytrau"]; former Grandmaster was Je'gan Olra'en/Shule. Cell-based (cells of three, each member having a formal connection with one member outside the cell). No real command structure, very private even to each other.
Order of the Terrible Glare - That time the Jedi Order and the Republic went evil, around 10,000 years ago? This is what the Jedi turned into, while the purists spent a thousand years in seclusion. Soul trapping, torture, etc. In Chaos canon, a bunch of their spirits got released on Coruscant a while back.
Reborn - Desann's people: NFUs given powers by Artusian crystals infused with the strength of the Valley of the Jedi.
Seekers of the Rift - Chaos canon. Part of the Primeval faith. Sees the force as the manifestation of their god Sargon, who shared its power with its three Aspects, Balagoth, Halrormalenth, and Nogras, who in turned granted power to the Favored. The Favored are divided into three sects. The war-like Riftborne, the conspiring Riftwalkers, and the enlightening Riftsingers work together despite their different approaches, with one goal in mind: 'to open the eyes of the blind.'
Seyugi Dervishes - Seyugi Dark Side assassin tradition, big on patience and unarmed combat, hated random violence, froze themselves in carbonite after the Jedi purged most of them.
Shapers of Kro Var - Mostly Light Side elementalists from pre-tech world, suspicious of TK and telepathy and basically any Force use that isn't earth, air, fire, water.
Shon-Ju's Force school - Clone Wars-era tradition founded by a former Jedi. Little darkish.
Sorcerers of Rhand - Unknown Regions Dark Side precog tyrants who rot away. In Chaos canon, the Lords of the Fringe spent years fighting them.
Sorcerers of Tund - Sith splinter group, exterminated in the Rebellion Era, complex fun history.
Salai Kasi - Teras Kasi-based Force tradition, mostly wiped out during Order 66.
Ta-Ree - Bizarre powers, only worked in a very remote area, stopped working entirely around the Rebellion era. In Chaos canon, the expert is certainly [member="Matsu Ike"].
The Doomed - Dark Jedi survivors on Kesh, obsolete/wiped out as of around 4,000 BBY.
Theran Listeners - Nam Chorios tradition, capable of hearing from very far away and understanding disparate languages. Desert hermits.
Tyia - Very common pacifist Force tradition/religion.
Un'Yala - Rellarin shamanistic wisdom tradition, ritualistic, highly regarded.
Vahla tradition - Big on blood, fire, deity, and wandering. See also Ember of Vahl and Chosen of Vahl. In Chaos canon, a good portion of Vahla have joined [member="Darth Isolda"] in the One Sith, or have joined Clan Rekali.
Voss Mystics - Force-neutral, healing, visions, precog, few overt Force abilities.
Wardens of the Sky - Light-oriented, undercover, not fond of any weapon that can breach hull, space wanderers keeping the hyperlanes free, death on pirates. In Chaos canon, noted Wardens include the Merrill and Starchaser families, and [member="Chloe Blake"]. Most Wardens are not publicly Wardens; the tradition is considered a folktale by most. One exception is [member="Jorus Merrill"], who made one too many intemperate statements in his intoxicated youth: he is publicly a Warden.
Witches of Dathomir - heavily shamanistic, nature-based, all Force use requires a somatic component (speech/song/gesture/dance) - sharp division between Light (Allyans) and Dark (Nightsisters).
Zeison Sha - think Jedi, but with family values and better at telekinesis. Traditional weapons include a thrown Force-imbued discblade.

[member="Adele Adonai"] - It's far from complete - I was mainly working from memory and a single Wook category that didn't even include the Wardens, the Krath, the Blackguard...

But I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. Hoping it spurs people to play members of other traditions.

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
I see a few I have not gone and worked with... a couple others missing but they are more subgroup like the Teepo Paladins tradition that believed in using weapons as well as lightsabers... This brings the list up to 60 groups for training and learning. Must get posting music.

Most def.

I'm actually interested if anyone has managed to make any chaos canon types of Force Traditions? We've so many characters and the like, that I think it would be awesome if people actually came up with their own tradition.

Like, for all Clan Rekali has done, I wouldn't be surprised if by development, they basically made a neutral version with manda and nightsister meld.

Honestly, that pretty much seems like a Force Tradition all in it self.

Nohemi Allaneh could get tossed in there as IC contact for the Fallanassi.

I'll try to think of who else is prominent in those various areas, but this is awesome! I love me some lists xD

Oh, that's definitely under construction.

Matsu has possibly the most with the Ta-Ree

and yes there are some fun ones there. Though the the followers of the beyond wouldn't they be the same as the knights of Ren now
