Force Mastery & Theory: Lesson Two.
Kashyyyk, Home of the Silver Jedi.

For those whom had attended Veiere's first lesson on the Jedi Code, his second class on Force Mastery & Theory would touch upon something a little different and utilizing the great outdoors of Kashyyyk for a change. The homeworld of the Wookies was a woundrous place, and also the site of many a space and ground battle thanks to the ever changing politics of the Galaxy. The spot that the Jedi Master would lead the group towards, was one that he had stumbled upon during one of those leisurely walks an old man such as Veiere ought to take once in a while to get away from such a busied galaxy and life as a Jedi Master.

When they'd all arrive, Veiere would turn and await the remaining students to gather around the fallen wreck of an old X-Wing Starfighter; the clearing here was vast yet also surrounded by natural life, tree's so tall that they threatened to block out the sunlight. Plant life and foliage that covered the ground and made it difficult at times to tread upon. A living and breathing eco-system that flowing with life, also strengthened the presence of the Force for those sensitive to it's call and feeling.

"I'll give it a moment, just for any stragglers who've happened to miss their gym classes this week..." Veiere chuckled, looking to those present and giving one last chance for others to join them before he would proceed with the days lecture.

All other members of the Jedi Alliance are welcome.

Ura happily "walked" through the forests of Kashyyyk. Well she more of shifted form, bouncing from tree to tree either as a bundle of shapeless sand, a Razor-tail Tiger, a serpent-like creature, and her humanoid form. It was honestly kind of nice to get out and about, and this world was a new one to her. So much life. So much green. So much water. Her happiness beamed through the Force, but she soon got distracted by a new sight. The X-Wing.

The sand-like Padawan jumped down, quickly looking the old wreak over, and saying "Never thought I'd see an old T-65 X-Wing like this," She noted, running her hand over the craft. She then looked back at [member="Veiere Arenais"] , seeming to be confused by what he had just said. Gym? She never understood gym. Then again, she didn't always understand organics either. Maybe she should ask...?

"Master? Why exactly is gym important?"

Lori LOVED the outdoors. Perhaps it was due to a lot of traveling in ships that fashioned her desire to be out in the wilds whenever she could. Or maybe it was because there tended to be less rules outside than within. And she was TRYING to adjust to the rules and regulations of the Jedi Temple. Yet it was difficult. On her ship she was the boss, back at either of her homes she could do as she pleased. But here....here was vastly different. And for the sake of her Dad as well as for herself, she tried to make the best of it.

What better way to do so than to immerse herself in studies? It MIGHT stop her urges to lay out pranks and traps. Maybe....For a few days, anyways.

And of course today she was late. Lori figured she'd be learning in a classroom inside, but was tickled pink to discover that it was out in the woods.

When she got to the clearing, she was panting from running so hard, yet did her best to hide it as she held into her datapad for note taking. There was going to be note taking, right? Better safe than sorry!

It was a hell of a morning, Kat rushed up after oversleeping and was wearing baggy knitted jumper and shorts. Her hair was in a rushed, loose high bun with some hair falling at the front in a fringe/bangs manner. Making her way to the meeting point for the class on the Force, Kat admired the plant life, seemed there was some much here and grew so large as well. She was curious as to why that could be but shrugged, she moved along and hurried to the meeting point. Looking around she recognised faces and didn't. Master Arenais was teaching again, she could guess that the female human was his daughter due to similarities in their body language and appearance, however the sand creature was completely new to her.

Giving a small, quick smile to everyone, she turned her attention to the X-wing that was stuck in the mud it seemed. Kat tutted loudly, she was now in mechanic mode, the damage that nature caused to that X-wing, she bet it wouldn't work again. Too much damage to too many important systems. If it was up to Kat, she would just strip it for parts, good durasteel was likely on it. However, she kept quiet and waited to find out why they had been brought here.

Veiere couldn't help but chuckle a little to the question of [member="Ura Iolar"], "A Jedi should always seek to keep their form in peak physical condition" Veiere replied curtly, the words coming without much thought as it was a query quite easily answered. For a moment, he was reminded of days long since passed where he would often have to tell the younglings of Deneba something similar. The pair of them were joined by [member="Loreena Arenais"] who seemed somewhat flustered in making it there on time, as well as [member="Kat Decoria"] whom arrived not a moment afterward.

"Is this all there is for today?" Veiere asked uncertainly, gauging the looks of the trio, soon finding little in the way of assurances and so nodding a couple times in resignation; "Very well then" he added with a sense of finality. Indeed, as expected, the Starfighter had caught the gaze of the students and Kat even seemed a little fixed on the machines state of being. "She is rather looking her age, isn't she?" Veiere smiled as he reiterated Ura's comment regarding the old model as well as her having been downed in such an overgrown area for that matter.

"For today's lesson, I felt the out-doors would best be suited. Kashyyyk is a beautiful world of natural life, and as we all should know by now, the flourishing nature such as this, helps strengthen one's connection to the force as opposed to the typical facilities made of metals and materials" The Jedi Master spared their surroundings a longing gaze, admiring the peaceful state of the forest that seemed to travel endless miles as far as the eyes could see. Though there was some small risk of wandering minds becoming distracted from the lesson at hand, Veiere often preferred to take his classes outside of the academic environment in order to exercise the enthusiasm and imagination of his students appetites for learning. "Today we are going to discuss a rather well known subject to many of the Jedi; something that you might have heard of before, called Telekinesis" he announced, his gaze settling upon the small group and wondering whether Ura or Kat had gone over this before.

[member="Kat Decoria"] | [member="Loreena Arenais"] | [member="Ura Iolar"]

[member="Veiere Arenais"] explained why gym was important, but it still went over Ura's head. She decided to just brush it off as a carbon-based thing. Something she wouldn't be able to truly understand. She at least understood what he said about the fighter, and smiled a bit to see that [member="Kat Decoria"] was as interested as she was. She then heard what Veiere said, and nodded.

"Yes, Master. Yurbian Deathseeds still use the same s-foil, weapon, and power plant design." She then looked over at [member="Loreena Arenais"] before listening to what the lesson was. Telekinetics? Well... that was a well know topic. Ura already knew the skill, but there was always more to learn. She was still, by Lervon standards, young, and she got a lesson outside, so even if she learned nothing at least she wasn't cooped up in the temple.

Lori knew of that X-Wing. If it wasn't the very same one that her Dad had. She had yet to fly it. But maybe that could change today!

At the mention of telekinesis, Lori jumped up and clapped her hands together in excitement. "Yes!! Are you going to lift the X-Wing in the air?! Are you going to do it standing on your head? Or do we have to do that? OR....could we do it while INSIDE the X-Wing?! That would be so wicked!" Of course the words just poured out of her as already she was imagining it. How awesome would it be to fly a fighter without using fuel or power? How awesome of a skill would it be to be able to control a vessel like that in an emergency situation when the electronics were fried during an attack?

Oh the possibilities.....

[member="Veiere Arenais"] [member="Ura Iolar"] [member="Kat Decoria"]

Looking at the others, Kat raised an eyebrow as they talked about the x-wing. She was more surprised at the questions that Loreena was asking, she had completely written off that x-wing as never to fly again. Too much water damage and overgrowth of nature in her mind. Better for scrap materials than trying to get it to fly once again. However, the idea of lifting the x-wing seemed implausible. It seemed way too heavy. "Isn't that too heavy for us to lift up in the air? Even if we worked all together, it is just so big." Kat hesitated making the comment as she didn't want to bring a downer but she just felt it was too much for a person to lift.

Kat stepped a little back, realising that she was likely the weakest in controlling the Force in the group of students. Keeping her head lowered she hoped that she didn't draw too much attention, either though she asked a question and there were only three of them. She just didn't think it would be possible but also knew it was likely a silly to question Master Arenais.

[member="Loreena Arenais"] [member="Ura Iolar"] [member="Veiere Arenais"]

[member="Loreena Arenais"] seemed to be getting a little ahead of herself, immediately moving to ask about the Starfighter and whether or not Veiere was going to lift it with the aid of the Force. It was certainly possible and something he could achieve, though there was another reason for being there in the clearing with the downed fighter. Veiere wished to guage his students attention spans, and their ability to ignore it during practice where most others would be in awe of the fallen bird, such as today's group was.

"Actually, I was planning on starting much smaller, given I'm not aware how versed you all are in the arts of Telekinesis" Veiere replied, looking from Lori to the rest of the group. [member="Kat Decoria"] however had posed a question as to the vessels weight, and Veiere wished to address this before moving forward. "Something to be conscious of, on the subject of weight...-Looks can and will appear very deceiving for those of you whom might not be as confident in the Force. Physical weight and size of an object is no comparison to the possibilities of the Force itself, the living breathing power that flows through all living things...-The burden and strain that you may find in trying to lift something so large, will come from your perception of the world around you, and your faith in your connection and ability to wield this power".

"Our first task will be to begin with rocks however...-So, find yourself a suitably sized stone. Something easy to start off with and then we'll find somewhere dry to sit and begin with meditation, in order to attune ourselves to our surroundings, and gather our focus for the lesson ahead".

My reputation for being late has probably become legend by now...

Kiran thought as he moved to catch up with the group. Kiran was kicking himself for missing Master Arenais's first class so he made it everything in him to not miss this one. Sure being late was indeed frowned upon, however he showed up. And Kiran couldn't help but giggle at his own attempt to justify his tardiness.

Kiran saw the group ahead of him and he cleared his throat as he arrived and slowed his jog down to a complete stop before bowing respectfully to [member="Veiere Arenais"] and showing a smile to the rest of the group.

"Friends, Master Arenais, I apologize for being late."

[member="Kat Decoria"] [member="Loreena Arenais"] [member="Ura Iolar"]

"Yeah but Da--I mean, Master...Can we see YOU lift the X-Wing after? Please?" Of course Lori gave the sweetest look that she could muster, almost to the point of batting her eyelashes. She had heard of people being able to perform such feats, but never had she seen it in person.

Just as she was about to start looking for a rock for herself, [member="Kiran Arlos"] came running in. Oh good, she wasn't the only one with a tardiness issue. That'd keep the heat off of her.

Lori picked up a rock about half the size of her palm. "Yeah, you look about right." Yes, she was talking to the rock. She tended to talk to inanimate objects when she was tinkering. It helped her with her focus.

Ura nodded when [member="Veiere Arenais"] said to find a stone, and started to go find one. She did stop next to [member="Kat Decoria"] , seeming to give off a happy and helpful signature in the Force before speaking in her Lervonian lack of tone.

"If it helps, Lervon have a saying about limits. "Your only limit is yourself.'"

She then went off to find a rock. It was nice on Kashyyyk. The trees. The live. The Wookies. She really liked them. So in tune with nature. It wasn't before she found a decent rock and lifted it, walking back to the group with her quary.

"Right on time then." Kiran whispered softly as Master Arenais advised to pick out a rock and such. Kiran had had training such as this before, but he could always use more. There was never enough training in a Jedi's life, and Jedi could always continue to learn and grow. Somethings he had heard here and there, and he understood it easily enough. The Jedi Padawan glanced towards the ground and just picked up the first rock he saw which was an average sized one.

Kiran ended up somewhat near [member="Loreena Arenais"] and he showed her a friendly smile. While this might not have been the best time for introductions in the middle of training, he felt it wouldn't hurt.

"Hi, I'm Kiran Arlos. I honestly didn't know Master Arenais had any kids." The Jedi said with a soft tone, or perhaps he was told but simply forgot. "It's nice to meet you."

[member="Ura Iolar"] [member="Kat Decoria"] [member="Veiere Arenais"]

"You'd be surprised by the things a Jedi Master might keep separate from his professional life within the Temple" Veiere smiled playfully towards [member="Kiran Arlos"], gesturing towards the others in case he'd yet to find himself a solid rock of smaller sized stone to practice with.

[member="Loreena Arenais"] seemed adamant on seeing him move the fallen X-Wing, however it was important that the students under the Silver Jedi Order learned to appreciate the importance of restraint within the use of the Force and so it gave Veiere the opportunity to express such a valuable lesson. "The Force is a gift to us Lori, something that needs to be respected. The Jedi believe that self-restraint is a crucial trait for every Jedi, and that they don't become overly comfortable in it's practice for those that do not keep themselves in check, can find themselves tempted by the Dark Side".

Looking back to the others, Veiere had decided that they'd been given enough time to select their tool for today's practice. "Alright everyone, gather back here in front of me and find yourselves a position on the ground" he encouraged while moving to seat himself, clearly not too concerned about getting his Jedi Robe wet or dirtied by the earth beneath them.

"Before we begin the practical side of things, who here isn't familiar with Telekinesis?".

[member="Kiran Arlos"] [member="Ura Iolar"] [member="Loreena Arenais"] [member="Kat Decoria"]

Kat had selected her rock, it was of medium size and fairly sturdy but she was optimistic about her chances of lifting the object up into the air. Kat looked over at the group, Master Arenais had a daughter as well as a son, it was interesting. She was curious how often they could spend time together, living their separate lives. It must be tough on them but Kat thought it was a good time to spend bonding during classes like these. At least, she found it bonding when her dad would teach her how to work machines as a mechanic.

When Master Arenais told them to sit down, Kat pulled an unsure face, she wasn't against getting dirty, often find black oil and grease stains on her from her work but sitting in the wet mud didn't sound very comfortable. Looking for a drier patch of ground she sat down with her rock. Kat had learnt the skill already but she was not against learning more on the topic.

Lori snickered as [member="Kiran Arlos"] commented. "Yeah, I don't think that he knows why he has kids either." She gave him a nod as he introduced himself. "Lori. Captain Lori to some."

[member="Veiere Arenais"] spoke up about restraint and she tried so HARD not to begin her response with 'But Dad'. Probably the most thing that she ever needed to restrain was her own mouth. "How could we restrain ourselves if we don't even know our limits? I've fought in hand-to-hand combat in tournaments and training; so I now know how badly I can hurt someone with my own punches. And in knowing that, I'm able to restrain myself from over-reacting in tense situations. Learning to walk is one thing, but shouldn't we learn to run as well? I don't mean to teach us to lift X-Wings right this second, but for those that feel inspired enough to try or happen to be gifted in that aspect; shouldn't they be encouraged to excel at it?" She wasn't really good with rules and was having a bit of a time adjusting to the strict rules here. Lori was used to a lot more freedom.

[member="Ura Iolar"] [member="Kat Decoria"]

Ura... not really sat down but shifted her form down into position. It was probably odd looking, but the Lervon just saw it as normal. She then listed to [member="Veiere Arenais"] and [member="Loreena Arenais"] . She could feel there emotion, and their connection. Family probably. The Padawan decided to be quiet, just sitting there with her rock. She already knew how to use telekinesis, so there really wasn't a need to speak right now.
