DESCRIPTION
Kur's personal armor has been specialized to fight Force-Users, specifically dealing with energy, lightsaber and kinetic-based power applications (such as telekinesis). Knowing that his ability to get in close, put pressure on his opponent, and work at overcoming their defenses was key, Kur instructed the manufacturers to utilize the highest quality materials for such a purpose. As well as having protection from practical applications of the Force, Kur knew he needed weapon options. To ensure the most capable loadouts against opponents, the smiths were told to allow interchangeable hard-points on the gauntlets and back, which would allow the mercenary the chance to mix his equipment up to keep his enemies guessing.

While Kur didn't really understand most of the intricacies of the armor being explained, he did understand that it was durable, layered for protection, provided customization and had a range of sensor suites and devices to assist him in hunting. The downside was that it was heavy despite using phrik, still vulnerable to high caliber weapons, and had very little resistance to EMP or Ion attacks - which would result in major system failure, and leave Kur without his scanners and sensors for a few minutes.

Understanding not all armor could be resistant to everything, Kur admitted the manufacturing company had completed his request to acceptable standards; and as a result, paid them and didn't kill them.

Strengths:
  • Strong Plating: Phrik armor plating provides excellent protection from most sources of direct attack
  • Power Packing: Integrated power supply allows for computer-assisted HUD elements and targeting, as well as assisted flight control
  • High-Tech: An array of gauntlet weaponry and systems for enhanced battlefield application and capability
  • Corrosion Be Gone: The anti-corrosion coating is composed of ferrocarbon, which allows the armor to withstand very strong corrosive effects from various sources
  • Safety Layers: The power armor liner, and thermal gel, allow for increased resistance to kinetic and environmental sources
  • Sonic Sources: Due to both sonic dampeners and nullifiers, the suit has a good sonic resistance
  • Sealed Suit: The armor is environmentally and vacuum sealed, allowing for a total of 30 minutes in harmful environments and space, before replacement oxygen required
Weaknesses:
  • Weight: Despite being made of phrik, the armor houses several layers and armaments that make it heavy, which requires considerable physical strength to not be over-encumbered when fully equipped for battle
  • Resistant Not Impervious: Even phrik plate can be damaged from repeated strikes to the same location, such as lightsaber attacks, so regulation of damage dispersion is prudent
  • High Caliber: The armor is still vulnerable to high caliber slugthrower rounds, such as armor piercing types, which can crack and damage the phrik lessening its effectiveness until repaired out of battle
  • Heavy Repeaters: The armor is still vulnerable to heavy repeaters, and sustained fire should be avoided
  • Delicate Fabric: The Spidersilk Elaxtex sheet is vulnerable to most forms of damage, and if not stored rapidly to protect it, will be unusable and require replacing, thereby removing Kur's ability to conceal himself
  • Segments: Not every portion of the body can be protected, resulting in joints that are more vulnerable to damage or injury
  • Gel Breakdown: Excessive repeated kinetic damage can result in the bonded thermal gel layer breaking down, and lessens overall resistances it otherwise adds; this is impossible to replace during combat, and must be done so outside of battle to be functional again
  • Electrical Lacing Limit: The electrical web lacing only works if the opponent makes direct contact or uses a conductive weapon; lightsabers and other non-conductive weapons are immune to this effect
  • Delicate Systems: The armor is vulnerable to strong EMP and Ion damage, which would disrupt the systems for a few minutes until they could restart
  • Power Drain: Requires regular replacement of micrel power supply

Based on this weakness, your kinetic resistance would be better suited as High rather than Very High.

[member="Nadja Keto"] Would it be more accurate to put two ratings? Such as:

Kinetic: Very high (high calibre: high)?

Or something to that extent?

The only reason being the inclusion of kinetic impact from multiple sources, such as standard slugs, TK pushes or physical impacts due to the thermal gel and armor lining, both of which boost kinetic.

That way it's more pinpoint/armor piercing that can do the damage, rather than a general loss in strength.

The resistance is in the context of all kinetic damage, lowering your resistance to High does not reduce any of its strengths, nor does it mean that lesser caliber or less powerful/non-armor piercing rounds will have similar effect as armor piercing rounds. A very high rating would include protection from things that High would be unable to such as, but not limited to: high caliber weapons, armor piercing rounds, large amounts of blunt force trauma that goes beyond heavy blunt force trauma (think getting hit by a vehicle, or falling out of a tall building and hitting the ground, with far reduced/minimal damage from the kinetic impact).

I believe that a High kinetic resistance still provides protection/resistance to standard slugs, the average TK push, and of course the special protection/feature of physical impact protection from the gels and linings.
