For Auld Lang Syne

Jorus shrugged expansively and looped his thumbs in his belt. "The codes only have any kind of function if the holocrons need to be physically relocated -- hidden or recalled. If the Council needs to consult the Great Holocron in person, for example. Jedi Library Cards only give limited access, because the holocrons can't determine the questioner's readiness with the Force -- the links are heavily Force-damped. So the holocrons function on the 'better safe than sorry' principle and assume every questioner is a Padawan. So the codes serve to let the Grandmaster and only the Grandmaster call back a holocron if its secrets need to be consulted. That's pretty rare; so far as I know, Grandmaster Grayson has never done it, and I've never had cause to do it either. The main purpose of the codes is to relocate them if someone's taken. So, basically, it'll take a while, but it's not going to be a crippling wait. Who knows; the Grandmaster may be back by then, and I won't have to give them to you at all.

"So Yavin Four, eh? What's the plan here?" He tapped his Library Card headset. "Tionne won't shut up about this place."

Aaralyn nodded softly. "Well, let's hope she is but something tells me that isn't going to be the case, the man who took her doesn't seem like the type to easily let her go." She took a brief moment to gaze around, nodding as she talked. "Yeah, good ole jungle moon that it is. I remember this place well..." She chuckled softly and looked back to Jorus. "I, actually don't know..." She said with a rather bright smile on her face, her chuckle turning to a nervous laughter. "My niece, Alec is in charge of things right now and I'm just here to lend a hand as I can really? I don't even know where I fit into the picture!"

"So you're heir apparent, are you." He gestured around. "Not of this, but the Grandmaster's. I'm not gonna lie, Rekali, over and above the practical concerns, I need to make sure, real sure, that this is the right course. Giving the codes to you and nobody else, I mean. I understand the Council's being reorganized, and though I think that's a bonehead move and then some, I'll need them, all of them, to sign off on this before I do anything towards giving you and you alone the codes and the new comms to go with'em. The Grandmaster gave me one job, and I mean to take every precaution that needs taking. That's nothing against you; that's just the job. Who's on the Council, or going to be? 'Cause I'll need to hear from one of'em that isn't you, and speaking for the Council as a whole. Fair enough?"

"Yeah, makes perfect sense." She nodded softly. "Well, Knight Korr was appointed to the Council..." She started counting on her left hand. "Master Kian Karr, Phylis Alince and my old Padawan - Corvus Raaf." She put her hand down. "Basic responsibilities of course, nothing special. We all have our own duties and tasks to which Kiskla expected us to get done."

Sighing softly, Anija slowly made her way inside, blinking as her eyes adjusted to the dimness inside the hangar. The air inside was cool and slightly damp. Even in the dimness, Anija could see places where machinery had removed.

Muttering under her breath, she made her way further into the hangar. As she did so, she could faintly hear the voice of Chloe Blake down near the other end. Of all the people she could sense in the immediate area, Chloe and Jorus were the only ones she recognized. Sure, she'd been invited here, but she didn't want to interrupt or disturb anyone, especially Ember. As such, she hung back for the time being.
