Food, Oh Glorious Food! Everybody Needs It! [Hutt Cartel]

| [member="Vinskk Revamp"] | [member="Sempra the Hutt"] | [member="Jemba Jurga Vara"] |

Standing on the bridge of an Acavus-class bulk cruiser, Alicia Drey folded her arms across her chest. She wore a sleek, plain white blouse over plain clothes; and had her hair pulled up into a pony tail. She wanted to keep it casual with the Hutt Cartel. She supposed it was the type of informality that was associated with them.

The Acavus was carrying a fresh supply of foodstuffs for the Hutt Cartel, so that they could feed their slave work force. The contents that the cruiser was carrying would feed a small army, of say two to three hundred adults, but in this case, it's contents would be spread across a thousand. The Hutts didn't care if their slaves had a full stomach, so long as they could keep working.

To some, it would seem like dirty business, to provide the Hutt Cartel with food, so that they could then keep their slave force in check. But if spun correctly, Alicia Drey would be seen as an humanitarian/alienatarian.

Even slaves had to eat, and with the Hutt Cartel lacking in the type of land or world capable of providing their slaves, associates or workers with their own supply of foodstuffs. That meant that they had to contract from outside their space; and who better than Alicia Drey and her Chandrila Group?

Arriving in the Y'Toub system, the Acavus hailed the Hutt Cartel. Turning away from the observation deck, Alicia waited for her hails to be answered.

Jemba had reciveved word that [member="Alicia Drey"] was here to sort out how food was to be handed out amoungst the armies of the Hutt Cartel. The Hutt slide across he floor, wearing his chef hat and an apron. Both of the items were white and looked as though they had been cleaned moments earlier.

Slowly Jemba reached down and flicked a switch, his message began to broadcast to Alicia. "Dear Ms Drey, you are welcome to land. I myself will meet you at the landing pad." Jemba spoke as if it was a great honour to be greeted by Jemba, but he was a mere servant to Sempra, and Sempra alone. Yes he would do caterings for others, but that was only under Sempra's orders.

The large Hutt now began his slow thrust towards the landing bay.

When clearance had been given, the Acavus made it's way towards the spaceport, that the Hutt Cartel would be receiving it's shipment. Ella watched, as the bulk cruiser cleared the outer lays of Nal Hutta, in order to dock with the spaceport. The cities reminded her of Coruscant, if only a little bit darker. A little more gloomy.

Emerging from the access latch that the cruiser had docked with, Alicia waited for her contacts to arrive. She had delivered her end with the shipment and there was more to follow. All she needed was to be paid and the agreements finalized. Then the Hutt Cartel would have a ready supply of foodstuffs, from a world famous for it's creation and a corporation capable of supplying it. It was win-win for everyone involved, including the starving slaves.

Jemba stood still as slave pushed the door in front of him open. Now here he stood in all his glory, the Grand Chef of the Hutts.

Jemba began to slide his way down to [member="Alicia Drey"], with a handful of slaves by his side. "Ah, Ms Drey. Welcome, I hope your travel was well." The Hutt said, as he slowly drew closer to her. Jemba swept his hands over the slaves around him. "Shall I have these pesky critters unpack?"

The Hutt was eager get his hands on some supplies. Everyone had their hobbies, and Jemba's was cooking. Well cooking and eating.

[OOC: Terribly sorry for the late reply. :(]

Alicia disembarked the Acavus, to meet with the Hutt who would be receiving her shipment. She regarded Jemba with an amused expression. Unlike Sempra, Jemba radiated the type of cheerful demeanor associated with the type of people who enjoyed food as a passion. Alicia had her own passions- one of a secretive nature, mind you- and she subsequently found herself intimidated in the presence of this particular Hutt, whilst relating with his desires.

Folding her arms across her chest, she said. "Hello, honorable Jemba."

She bowed her body, going along with Hutt customs. She was well versed in them. "I am Alicia Drey, here with your shipment of foodstuffs. Grains, wheat, water, meat. Nothing that I assume would be on the palate of someone of your status. These are for your men and the slaves that the Hutt Cartel owns."

"However..." Smiling, Alicia took a step closer. "I am sure that we could find something more suited to your palate, your highness."

If only a Hutt could blush! This young woman treating him with far more respect than the fat lump of slime deserved. He bowed in return, although it was a slight bend in the Hutt's body.

"If I had the choice they would get nothing but grain and water. It would make the orders so much cheaper!" Jemba said, waving his arms in the air, obviously annoyed at how much the slaves got. "Do you have a price for?" This would probably put a little dent in Sempra and the Hutt Cartel's pockets. People always thought that keeping slaves was wrong and unjust, but they didn't know the amount of work it took to own them.

"Let me think." Jemba began, leaving his giant maw open as he though, his tongue swishing around his lips. This proposition of letting Alicia gather the food for him could prove beneficial. It would save him leaving the planet! But first he had to settle the payment of the slaves food.

(OOC: All good! I've got plenty of time :D)

Alicia folded her arms. She assumed that the grain, alongside the basic rations she had brought alongside, would go to the slaves. Tasteless and bare necessity was their kind of diet, unfortunately. As she pondered on the Hutt's questions, a herd of Nerfs passed her. No doubt, they would either be used as beasts of burden or in the stomach of a more established and respected associate of the Cartel.

On second thoughts, she assumed they would be better used as steak or tenderloin, rather than being used to carry things. She couldn't see a Nerf living here for long, regardless of whether or not someone wanted to cut one open and eat it.

"Let me check over the list I have. Then we can sort out a price for the delivery and shipment."

Much the same though went through Jemba's head as it did Alicia's, although Jemba knew what to use the Nerf for. The fat Hutt licked his lips again, but this time it was because of the thought of a delicious stew, or maybe and large fatty piece of rump. Who needed beasts of burden when you had slaves of burden.

"Yes yes of course." Jemba waved his arms about as he spoke, again. It seemed to be a favoured gesture used by the Hutt. It was really all he could do to show his attitude. Which right now, was good and happy. Jemba always seemed happy in the presence of food.

"After reading my manifest, this shipment is going to cost seventy thousand, three hundred and fifty two credits. Chandrila Group only trades in galactic basic dactaries, by the way."

Folding her datapad, Alicia nodded her head to Jembra and added another smile. "So, shall we head to your office to finalize my payment?"

Seventy thousand, three hundred and fifty two. There was always the little extra credits.

"Yes, yes. I will lead you to my office." Jemba waved to Alicia's gesturing for her to follow him.

The Hutt led Alicia on, through the vast palace. It's walls reached high and were scattered with colored windows. The roofs were large and dome like. And then Jemba took Alicia into the kitchen, a white room littered with island benches with stoves, hotplates, ovens and fridges. They then reached Jemba's office. A somewhat small room for the Hutt, but medium for a human. It had a single desk and a large Huttish seat.

"Seventy thousand, three hundred and fifty was it?" It was a petty attempt to get a cheaper price, but hey why not?

[I notice I keep making typos in your name. Sorry man! :p]

As Alicia settled herself on the edge of her seat across from Jemba- several sizes too large for her- there was a glint in her eye as the Hutt purposefully edged two credits off the sum. Questions formulated in her end. Was he testing her? What was the point? Do I let him off?

After several seconds of contemplation, she said: "Yes, that's right."

It was not of any consequence, really. Still, there was a part of her that didn't want to let the Hutt get away with her two credits. She endeavored not to unleash the beast inside her.

Was it a slight smile that just crossed the fat hutt's face as he managed to drop the two credits from the price? What ever it was vanished as soon as it appeared.

"Let me transfer that over now." Jemba reached over and grabbed his datapad, enter the details and away it went, all seventy thousand, three hundred and fifty credits. It was always good to save where you could, not giving someone another spoon of sauce, or another slice of nerf. It was the little things that he tried to save.

"Now about some special foods?" Jemba asked, he was interested to hear what Alicia could get her hands on.
