FLINT LOK

BACKGROUND

Flint Lok grew up in a traditional Mandalorian clan and received the same martial upbringing as everyone else. He learned to fight, maintain his armor, and put his clan before himself. While he respected Mandalorian traditions, he never shared the same obsession with glorious death that many of his brothers did. If he earned a fortune on a contract, he intended to enjoy it.

Shortly before the Decimation of Mandalore, Flint spent his savings on a luxury cruise through the Core Worlds. By pure chance, he was light-years away when his people were massacred. His clan died while he drank expensive liquor and gambled in casinos.

Rather than face that guilt, Flint convinced himself he'd learned an important lesson: the galaxy rewards people who enjoy life, not those who die for ideals. Since then he's chased every pleasure credits can buy. Fast speeders, custom-built ships, expensive clothes, fine alcohol, narcotics, gambling, and attractive company have become his way of life.

Despite appearances, Flint never stopped being a Mandalorian. He still keeps his armor in perfect condition, still trains regularly, and still falls back on years of military discipline whenever things become dangerous. He just refuses to admit how much of that old life still matters to him.

PERSONALITY

Flint is loud, confident, and impossible to ignore. He enjoys expensive things, loves showing off, and has a bad habit of treating life like one long vacation. He'll happily spend a fortune on a bottle of wine simply because he's never tried it before.


Most people think he's an arrogant fool, and he rarely bothers correcting them. Flint jokes through serious situations, avoids emotional conversations, and would rather buy another drink than think about Mandalore. Underneath all of that, however, he's carrying a great deal of survivor's guilt.

STRENGTHS​

Mandalorian Training — Years of combat training never disappeared just because Flint embraced luxury. He's an excellent marksman, knows how to use his armor properly, and keeps calm once blasters start firing.


Naturally Charismatic — Flint can talk to almost anyone. Whether he's in a noble's banquet hall or a criminal cantina, people usually enjoy having him around. His confidence opens doors that would stay shut for more serious mercenaries.


Adapts Quickly — Having traveled across much of the galaxy, Flint is comfortable in unfamiliar places. He picks up local customs quickly and rarely feels out of place.


Optimistic — Flint genuinely enjoys living. Even after losing everything, he still finds reasons to laugh and keep moving forward.
