- Chainsaw: The sword can function as an active chainsaw, spinning it's beskar teeth around the blade. This gives it an added advantage when attempting to cut through armor or other obstacles.
- Beskar: The sword has been built out of Beskar, the Mandalorian Steel, and is able to deflect lightsaber strikes with little to no damage to the weapon.
- Heavy: The blade is very heavy, meaning that only someone with an immense about of strength can wield it with any kind of speed or dexterity

The Flesh Ripper was designed and assembled by Lazrus Taine shortly after he took up the profession of bounty hunting. It is a testament to his own sense of brutality. Made of beskar, the sword also functions as a chainsaw, spinning dozens of small razor-sharp beskar teeth around the perimeter of the blade. It is designed primarily as a chopping weapon, since its heaviness and odd balance make the more subtle types of sword play difficult. When activated the blade can saw through many materials including durasteel. Also, since it is made out of beskar, the blade can deflect lightsaber strikes with minimal damage.
