The obfuscation of roles was not enough to pull the wool over Jorryn's eyes. She understood more than most the need for a hand in the light and a blade in the dark. As much as the Arkanian either hid her concern for external issues, or denied there existence, there would always be a need for an answer to such problems.

And it appeared the Lady of House Lutris craved Jorryn to be that answer.

"Dealing with issues before they become problems is something of a talent of mine." As the Echani spoke, her eyes would continue to observe the smaller figure, searching for the key she was missing. "For the sake of our partnership I shall lend you my skills, provided you do the same for me, Lady Vakhari."

Was it the fact that this figure of such renown simply preferred to delegate violence, or that she needed to?

The thought entertained the Echani as a smile crept along her face, caught between amusement and curiosity about the Arkanian. Of all the rumours she had heard, seldom few were apparent.

But there was a depth hidden away in the Lady of House Lutris, and all Jorryn could do was stay at her side and wait for such revelations.

She couldn't wait.

"My alchemy is more art than science, My Lady, and I seek to improve instead of mutilate. Scalpels and brushes are kin in my hands, so do not worry about a mess, it only detracts."

The petty compliments would work on the Echani, however, simple pacifications towards her ego were allowed to sit freely as she nodded along with the idea of a future project. The curiosity within Jorryn was apparent as she listened to Vakhari with a cocked eyebrow, wondering just what kind of vague projects the Arkanian was talking about.

"I am happy to have helped already, I trust your lessons will be worth such... sacrifices." It was clear in the Echani's tone that she didn't care much for the slaves, considering them cattle to the slaughter. "And what kind of project is it, I wonder?"

She hovered over the diminutive figure as she spoke, annoyed that for all her words the most emotion brought out of Vakhari was by a simple cup of coffee.

A coiled finger lifted Vakhari's eyes from her cup as Jorryn raised her chin to meet her own amber gaze, curious if the girl would react to this.

"I am expecting something extraordinary."
