Flesh and Metal, Mustafar's Legacy (Ultimatum)

Rafeesh had finally made his way to the lava planet of Mustafar. Public transportation had been his only option. Fortunately travel to and from Mustafar appeared to be relatively cheap and better yet anonymous. He had paid from his own small amount, the Jedi would probably not support this venture. He felt bad for taking his time to get to this, he had just needed time to meditate and to be sure that this was the right thing. He wished he had gotten to it sooner, now [member="Mantic Dorn"] had left the Order and the reason for Rafeesh going to this droid had gone with him. But that did not stop Rafeesh. He was going to finish this and have what this droid knew.

He felt very guilty about wasting time, not Mantic was gone. Naroth saw what the Order was becoming, but it did not justify leaving. There was darkness in the Jedi now, they were becoming too open to non-light ideals. He wished that Mantic were still here, then at least they could handle this together maybe repair the damages or at least slow its advance. But now he was masterless and wondering whether he should take a new one or simply try and advance alone. His faith was shaken, and his resolve was not as it once was.

Yet here he was, perhaps because he hoped to prove himself, maybe to have information should he ever see Mantic again. Maybe he was coming for revenge, hoping to reach Mythos through this Ultimatum. Whatever the reason, he was here to have a chat with this droid ruler. He pulled the hood over his head and walked out into the blasting heat of the planet along with a hundred or so others coming to the world.

Ultimatum had already been at the spaceport, having had some work to speak with the security forces at the building about. There were to be some renovations and Ultimatum did not want security to be disturbed or slacken by the work done. The droid had already made the calculations and had decided that the best way was to have men set near the area of the work being done. The intended work area had already been covered off and signs had been put up to ward off most of the passengers, it was just one of the hangars and the halls around it. It was part of an experiment Ultimatum had planned, but it needed work before he could conduct it.

The droid had finished and the security teams were splitting up to spread the plan and return to their designated areas. It was a relatively easy job, there had been no imminent danger since the droid had taken up office and while the security measures were stringent it did not stop many people from coming to look for work or new homes. There had always been the threat of some sort of attack, so they were alert. Due to the fact that they were having to reach the various points, there were a number of holes in security which could be exploited.

Ultimatum decided to leave, Progenitor facility needed his attention for some work he needed to accomplish, some people to talk to, a guest to speak with.

Rafeesh walked about seemingly at a loss for a few minutes before finding a place to hide. He noticed that the security was somewhat lax, compared to what he had seen elsewhere, but the people were moving about quite a bit. He mistook the movements as normal. When he noticed an area closed off, the young Jedi made for it and looked around through the covers to try and see his target. Several minutes more passed before he saw it. A tall silvery droid that stood almost a head above everyone else. The build of it made Rafeesh think that it was intended to be intimidating. He would not falter because of some illusion of strength. This droid would give him the information he wanted to know or learn what a lightsaber could do.

He was once more thankful for Mantic's persistence in getting to collect a crystal, though the trial had been difficult, he had gotten the small rock. It was now the heart of his saber, his first saber since reawakening and becoming a Jedi once more. This was a beacon of hope for him. He could be a Jedi, even if the Order he was part of was not the one he had been in millennia ago. It was so long ago, he missed his double bladed saber, but this would have to do. It would work whether or not he was comfortable with it.

He watched as the droid made his way to the exit, Rafeesh tried to follow discreetly. He tried to make it appear that he was not following [member="Ultimatum"] as the droid left. It would get more interesting outside.

Ultimatum made his way to the vehicle, unaware of anybody following him. There were too many organics around to decide that one was tailing him. He did not expect any form of trouble, after all there was security nearby, he had weapons hidden within his body, and if all else failed there were droids that were ready to kill any who threatened him. He liked most of the immigrants, they were simply trying to find work and a safe place to live. With the tumultuous nature of the galaxy that was a worthy goal. Few wanted trouble and even less wanted any sort of free gift. They wanted to work, they wanted to live, they did not want handouts. It was an encouraging attitude.

The big droid waited a few moments, thinking on that. Organics were good in some ways. Just not all of them. He had had to deal with both types and he obviously found the former more enjoyable. However, he knew that more often than not it was the latter that helped make business easier. It would likely be the latter that he was going to with now. This guest was special, not unique to be certain but definitely part of a very rare group that he was unlikely ever to meet part of again.

He looked at the hovervehicle for a moment. It was new, after the destruction of the other, with Legion as well, Ultimatum had had to produce a newer one. This was more heavily armored, intended to survive such an ordeal. Legion's third body was still in the works. Ultimatum was thinking of making it a bit sturdier and perhaps even upgrading the droid brain, maybe making it more unique and its own entity. That would be a good way of repaying the droid for two deaths so far.

Rafeesh moved quickly, seeing that an opportunity to catch this droid alone was slipping away. The padawan called on the Force as he ran, asking it to hide him from the vision of those that would see him. He could not tell if it worked, but he escaped notice until he slid and rolled under the vehicle the droid had entered. In the blink of an eye he grabbed the bottom and lifted himself from the ground as the vehicle pulled away and moved somewhere.

The young Jedi felt rocks and dust hit him as the vehicle moved, he was once more reminded why the bottom of vehicles were normally made less pleasing to they eye. They were not really meant to be seen, and they were definitely not meant to be used as the part where people stayed. He tried to look around to see where the vehicle was heading, but it was difficult with his eyes stinging from all of the grit and bits of rock being thrown up by the repulsorcoils on the bottom. It was rather painful, so he closed his eyes and called on the Force to strengthen him for whatever may come.

He hoped they were leaving the city, maybe he could pull his lightsaber and damage the vehicle so that it would no longer function then he could confront the droid who associated with the Sith alone. It would be a pleasure to destroy him if he proved to be what his master had led him to believe.

Ultimatum continued to follow his intended path. Something was wrong, the vehicle's computer was reporting excess weight on the frame, too much to make it dust accumulation or other similar things. The weight was about equal to a large man. That meant he had a stowaway which could either be harmless or incredibly dangerous. The person was more than likely not looking to kill him and run, otherwise he might have employed safer methods, such as attaching a thermal detonator and leaving. That would have made it less likely for an actual confrontation. Either this guy was new to the idea of assassination, he was looking to become a martyr, he was looking for a fight, or he was simply trying to talk to him. There were other possibilities but it seemed very likely towards the first few.

After a few minutes Ultimatum decided it was time to confront this unknown. He slowly came to a stop, his blaster pistol soon found its way into his hand before he stepped out of the vehicle. "Alright friend. Time to get off." He waited a few moments while stepping away from the transport, in case the man tried something. He sent a call to the Progenitor Facility and had the newly formed clone combat team prepared for immediate deployment. The Fate was preparing to fly out, being loaded with ammunition and the necessary equipment to do emergency repairs. For once, MU-01 had a fully stocked medical supply with which to work should something go wrong.

Rafeesh could feel the vehicle slowing and he pulled his lightsaber in preparation. He expected a fight from this droid, whatever would be necessary to get information on Mythos. As if finally came to a stop Rafeesh dropped and rolled to the other side of the vehicle from the driver's side. He needed to get the jump on the droid, just to better assure that he would have the upper hand. It would be an easy fight, no droid could stand against the Force.

A blue blade of light came to life as he spun around the corner and jumped towards the droid. "You will tell what I wish to know, or you will perish. Sith friend." He intended on getting the information from this droid, no matter what it did. Time to find out what he knew, or to destroy a droid.

Ultimatum moved quickly, his blaster brought up to the enemy. While surprised he would not be endangered by the... Jedi? He had a lightsaber and he acted as if he knew how to use it. Weren't Jedi supporters of the Republic? He was an ally of the Republic, if not discreetly. Why was this organic attacking? He had called Ultimatum 'Sith friend' was it about one of his Sith associates? He had no idea what this was all about, though he could make a few guesses. Had this man decided to try and find friends of some Sith he had a vendetta against, or perhaps he had been sent by the Republic to somehow destabilize the government or to kill a potential Sith ally.

Whatever the reason, he had a hostile to deal with and while Ultimatum might have been willing to discuss relations with Sith under normal circumstances the current one was not conducive to him playing along. He snarled back, "I'm sorry, but I do not feel inclined to comply. Back down now before you do something you will regret Jedi." This one was looking for a fight and Ultimatum knew that no amount of pleading would bring him back down.

The Jedi moved quickly to strike at the droid. He swung for the blaster pistol, to disarm this droid. He remembered the technique having a name, an entire fighting style devoted to the disarmament of enemies. He could not recall the name, or the specifics of the form. It was a wild swipe, but it seemed to be strong and aimed at the right place. His speed would have been superior to all but the swiftest of droids. This one did not seem to be made for speed, a war droid by his guess.

"Then we fight. I will know what you know of Mythos if I must tear you apart." This was a mission that had to be done. Mythos had to pay for the evils that he had done. If the Sith was not willing to see the fault in his actions, then Rafeesh would have to end him. If this droid stood in the way of his mission, then it would meet the same fate. Perhaps he had moved too quickly, perhaps he had not acted as a Jedi should, but it was too late to change the past and he did not believe that droids deserved the same respect as people.
