SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Stabby
  • Burny
  • But at the same time
Strengths:
  • Stabby- The sturdy durasteel blade is long and narrow, perfect for stabbing. It's not meant to stand up to a lightsaber, but it'll turn any rifle with a compatible lug into a handy pike.
  • Burny- In the handle is a pressurized fuel canister. The flamethrower portion is armed by a safety switch on the pommel. Next time the bayonet hits something hard, like bone or armor, the entire canister is sprayed out from a channel at the base of the blade. The mixture is self igniting upon contact with air, so no ignition source necessary.
  • But at the same time- Life is short. Don't waste time stabbing someone, then setting them on fire. The Flamethrower Bayonet will make the best use of your time by doing both at once.
Weaknesses:
  • Range- Naturally, having a canister that can fit into the handle of a largish knife means that you're not gonna get great range. Use carefully.
  • Splashback- The canisters are designed not to spray the user down in burning liquid hellfire, but stuff happens. Avoid using in high winds, or around Force users if at all possible.
  • Premature Detonation- If a stray round hits the canister, self igniting fuel is going everywhere. RCFC recommends not allowing it to get hit by a stray round.
DESCRIPTION
Have you ever wanted to stab something and set it on fire at the same time?

If yes, we can be friends. If not, why the hell are you reading this? Losers.

Where was I? Right, yes. Flamethrower bayonet. It's a bayonet. Useful for stabbing things. It's a flamethrower. Useful for setting things on fire. It's both, so go nuts.

When a fresh canister is loaded into the handle, one arms it by flicking the safety switch on the pommel. The safety switch is resistant to accidental activation, and it won't arm unless it's clipped to a bayonet lug. Once armed, the flamethrower will fire when it's stabbed into something hard, like armor or bone. The pressurized liquid will spray out of an aperture at the base of the blade, soaking whatever is in front of it with self igniting fuel oil that burns tenaciously.

To reload, unscrew the pommel and insert a fresh canister. Screw the pommel back on, and you're good to go. Obviously this is not something you're going to do under fire, pardon the pun.

Drop the production to Limited, and we'll be good to go. This isn't a weapon you're gonna equip a whole army with.
