Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was no historian and a passing interest in a few Jedi and places of note, she was no scholar either. But she could not fail to be impressed by the collection of items her Master was revealing. Ancient scrolls and tablets, books that must be centuries old, if not millennia, exquisite tapestries. They were all priceless to the Jedi – or a collector. Were it not for the Holocrons, she would have been reviewing the written material by now, but instead she focused on her Master’s continued searching.

And then, under some insignificant packing foam she saw them. She knew there were at least three different Noetikons which consisted of the Noetikon of Science, Noetikon of Light and the Noetikon of Secrets. She wondered which ones were here but remained patient as her Master continued to reveal the box’s secrets.

Matsu looked at the three devices and keeping them aside as she repacked one of the crates with as many things as she could safely. To reduce what they needed to take instead and put into the way for Seimei to recover. "Looks like everything is here nd intact." She had a small smile of some triumph... it was nice when things came together instead of fell apart... now if only she could find a way to replicate this moment for everything the galaxy would be a better place. THe jedi master looked at Sorel and keeping her equipment pack at the ready was good for all of the things. "Anything you see here of an interest to you?"

There were three, Sorel saw them as her Master unpacked them. Most probably the fabled trio, but only closer examination would tell. But first the Jedi Master repacked the other things for safe keeping. Sorel could see how much the discovery meant to Matsu – the galaxy needed a little good news every now and then.

”I always like to learn things – as long as they are of value. So it would be useful to see what the books and scrolls contain with regards abilities or even saber techniques. I’m sure the other finds are of equal value to others just not to me.” There was a sparkle in her eye. ”But I’d be lying if I didn’t admit it is the Noetikons that really intrigue me, and how you connect to them too.”

There was a lot of value in the things and Matsu could see Sorel was gaining a lot of interest. The time they had to work on things and learn was never ending and with some of the techniques she had trained or just force technology developed... well they could learn for a very long time without need of certain things. She was looking over parts of it all while sitting there and tinkering with the machine. "I am interested as well, the other holocrons are useful but these were made to collect their knowledge. Not many have had access to them for a long time, that is just one. We have found all three which means we can at least hopefully bring some good news back." Or more likely well she didn't want to keep these in a vault where someone would just lock them away to keep the knowledge from people. When she finished with the tinkering and brought her hand up grasping the one the projector activated displaying different mastersfor the light. Some of the strongest and more famous ones.

Sorel had always taken knowledge for granted. Perhaps that statement on face value wasn’t quite true — and was a little negative of her outlook. She’d never thought about Holocrons specifically and given her access to learning back on Coruscant and then Ossus, she saw schooling as something commonplace and not particularly exciting. Yet here and now, with such close proximity to a set of valuable Jedi artefacts, two things came to her mind.

The first was the ability to access knowledge at her own pace and when she wanted it — as opposed to seeking someone to train and only being able to learn what an available teacher could show her. The second was the device itself. As something of a techno-lover, she suddenly considered how intricate the mechanism was and how she’d love to learn out how they worked — so she could replicate the construction for herself. But that was for another day — right now she was simply delighted to see so many Jedi Masters that seemed to be available to share their knowledge. Some were familiar but the majority she did not recognise and decided she needed to improve this aspect of her teaching — for to snub a famous Jedi Master because she did not recognise them felt entirely wrong.

“They’re simply amazing, are’t they,” she said to her own Master, other words failing her for the moment.

Yes they were, she could agree and get with that while looking it over and they had space in their equipment packs. All of the hard work was done for now and they only needed to return to the ship to work on some of the things. Slowly she set them and moved deactivating the device. "Yes they are, it hasn't been used by a padawan in years, we shall have something special here. With all of the work on some of the recovery efforts you will have a leg up." Not that she should horde knowledge but well she and matsu weren't ones for having to go into the main temples for weeks or months if they were working. She'd have more then enough time to practice by herself with the neotikans for what she wants. They had other things as well with all of the projects so the padawan could have an interesting time.

Sorel knew she had a lifetime ahead to learn and knew that there was no point in rushing things. Nor was she the sort of Jedi to spend weeks on end in the pursuit of knowledge. So she decided there and then that she needed to spend a little time understanding what she wanted to learn, prioritise it and then use the Holocrons to gain the Force training she required — ideally before handing them over to the Silver Jedi to utilise for as many Jedi as possible.

So she helped pack the items away and looked around, making sure there was nothing they had missed when focused on the very valuable artefacts they had in front of them.

Matsu was looking at Sorel and gave a nod while with the tagging of the crates the ship could come and meet them to come and pick it all up. "We'll be able to pick it up and get them on the ship. There is a lot of stuff here to work with and we shall use it all but first the real fun. Seeing what we might be able to carry." Standing there while she checked for empty space in her pack but there wasn't much she could jam in there. Just looking over some of the things and walking around. THe sounds of the ship were there for everything and they could work with that while she moved off to the side of the room. Getting the lights activated with a glowball instead while she nodded her head. "You have been doing very well Sorel."

Sorel smiled and continued to help with the packing and tagging — taking her lead from her Master who had the knowledge. In terms of focussing on what they could carry, Sorel knew what she wanted to cram into her backpack. She headed back into the warehouse, where the shell of an old VCX-100 light freighter. She ferreted through the ship, picking up spare parts as she went. Some components for the nose turret gunner station, before going to the engines and taking parts for the energy dampeners, and static jammers.

Fully laden, she returned to her Master. “Ready when you are,” she said, smiling.

Matsu had to agree with it while her attention was on some of the things, the ship arriving while they were getting things and small groups being deplyed to gather the tagged materials. ANother team deployed with equipment to get things up and running as Matsu stayed at it for a moment longer sitting on one of the sleds of artifacts and crate as it was loaded. "We are all ready to go, just bring yourself over here and we'll be able to head out. I think going back towards the temples will be a good place to go." That was more then enough that she needed while looking at some of the other things the teams were loading up. She hadn't really gotten a good look at everything but they were coming away with a large crystal and the jedi master paid some attention to it putting a blanket over. "Well that will come in handy for something special." A massive hypergem was rare and you didn't really find those often. She could make plenty of use of that and as a piece of loot for herself on the end of this well worth it. Sorel could control and learn from the holocrons.
