First Outing (Oka Osso)

This fighter proved a little more skilled than the others. Using the asteroids for cover it flew up and around past as many floating rocks as possible to avoid being hit or seen by Osaa. The pilot looked back now and then to see if the Jedi was still on his tail. Acting quick he pulled up, going higher into the field forcing Ossa to follow him as he maneuvered through a few tight turns here and there.

"The bird in the sky is the most vulnerable, but the shark in the sea is the most protected." he mumbled going way below the fighter so he could keep track of it and fire upon it. With it in clear view as it did pointless maneuvers, Oka sent a missile towards an asteroid it was coming upon while firing upon the ship.

The missile hit and the asteroid exploded, sending rubble that ran smack into the fighter itself. The pilot didn't have time to react before his ship was sent hurtling into another asteroid where it exploded. The mission, from there, was basically a success.

When Osaa returned to where the Obsidian was Reeza called over the comm "Good. Made it back just in time. Already sent word to the base. We've got the all clear."

From thee she lead him down to the base itself, sighing with relief before looking to the picture in her cockpit. Once they landed both Reeza and Osaa would meet with the base commanders, thanking the for their actions and having payments ready for both of them. Clunk had joined Reeza when she exited the ship with the weapon part crates all ready and waiting for their buyers.

Oka had a thrill out of this battle. Once they landed, he jumped out of his ship with his droid. It rolled behind him as he walked towards Reeza. "Well B7, we made it." he said before standing beside Reeza. "So, now that we delivered the items, what do smugglers do next?" he asked with a small grin.

"You mean after getting paid?" she sarcastically asked. "How's about we celebrate with drinks." Clunk beeped something to her at which she replied "What? Only one or two." He beeped more before she kicked him a little and said "That was one time and you said you'd never mention it again." After that she waited until the commander came, thanked both of them, and handed over the credits. Half were given to Reeza while the other was given to Oka, despite his probably protests. When that was finished she looked to the young Jedi knight and said. "Well that's that. You did good out there, Oka." she held her hand out to shake his.

"Last time I drank something, I threw a man across a ball room. I might stick to tea." he joked. Reeza and Clunk must be long friends, he thought. When he got paid, it didn't feel right. Sure, he collects credits all the time but this was different. He killed a lot of people, were they really sith? He didn't know and eventually thought about something else. "Yea... thanks." he shook her hand and smiled as he turned around and walked towards his ship. B7 was already waiting there. "Here B7, put these somewhere. " he said tossing the credits at the droid.

Reeza handed her credits over to Clunk, he rolling off with B7 to take them back to the Obsidian. After that Reeza asked "So what now? Going to head back to Tatooine? Or maybe go hang with the rest of your Jedi buddies over at...well wherever you guys hang out." He finished with a little chuckle after that.

He laughed at her what she said. "No, was only there to save my hyperdrive. Thanks to B7, we didnt die. And no, they aren't buddies, only the order." he said signaling B7 to start the engines. "Might head to Naboo for something to drink or eat. You are welcomed to come." he informed her.

"Naboo, huh?" she asked before thinking on it for a moment. "Bit too fancy for my taste, but you know why not? Guess I can mark heading out for a meal with a Jedi as one of the many interesting things I accomplished through life. Go on. I'll follow you this time." She walked back to the Obsidian and waited until Oka was in the skies before following him through space and on the way to Naboo.

"Haha, okay." he said jumping in his starfighter and taking off. Naboo was approximately 30 minutes away if he really got going. Oka left the asteroid field and hit hyperspace. "Okay B7, let's talk."

During the travel through hyperspace Reeza went to her room and started changing out of her armor into something more comfortable. Clunk had rolled in as she was changing and beeped something to her. "Good. We can use it. Been thinking of some upgrades to the engines to keep them from stalling like before.....They might have something on Alderann. I hear they have decent parts. But first let's settle with Naboo for now....I don't know.....I don't know....So what?......Well maybe. I mean I don't know. Okay? Wasn't really thinking about that......I wasn't......Ugghh. You know for a little guy you have a big mouth." Clunk seemed to laugh at this before, eventually, the ship dropped out of hyperspace and onto Naboo. When she exited her ship Reeza was now wearing a white, black and silver skin suit instead of her armor. Though the belt she wore did have a blaster at the ready.

As he landed, he heard the Obsidian land. Wearing a cloak into a restaurant would be weird so he took it off but kept his sabers and blaster on his belt. His cloak was nice for Naboo, at least the colors were. Oka closed his ship's door and stretched. Being in a starfighter for a hour and a half sucked. "B7, I'll be back soon enough." B7 spun its head, that meant okay in its "terms". Once he turned around scanning the area, he saw Reeza looking beautiful as ever and walked up to her. "You look nice." he paused. "I'm thinking... a diner or somewhere nice for once. What do you think?" he asked staring at her.

At his offered she shrugged and said "Sounds as good as anything to me right about now. Please, lead the way. You're doing a good job of it so far." When Oka walked on she told Clunk to stay with the ship, which he did. She kept a smirk on her face the whole time as they went to find a spot to eat. Every now-and-then Reeza would spot a gungan and comment how she hopped none of them were be serving them since she could barley understand when they talked. When they eventually came to the place to eat she looked and said "Hope it ain't too expensive here. I only just got these credits after all." She then nudged him while laughing to indicate her joke.

He laughed at her joke. "Can't be that bad." he said walking in. Once Oka went in, he saw women and men dressed in fancy attires. A few gungans were in the place but only as workers. It didn't surprise him since it was Naboo but it really didn't matter. Fancy or not, this was a place for food, not a beauty contest. Sitting down at a booth, Oka waited for Reeza to sit down.

As a little under-dressed as Reeza was she acted as though she didn't care. If anything she didn't like the idea of dressing fancy for almost every occasion, only times when it actually felt needed. She watched and waited to see where Oka went before following. She sat in a more vulgar manner while putting one foot up on the table. After that she gestured to him "You're ordering this time. I already handled it back on Tatooine, remember?"

"Right." a waiter was near so he called him and he came over. Oka was sure he wouldn't get something Reeza would like but she did say he could order. "A chuba pie, a few shaak steaks in mintri and woosha sauce, water for us both, and two small bowls of muja fruit ice cream." the waiter nodded and walked off to the kitchen. "Did I order anything good?" he asked with a short laugh.

She returned his laugh before saying "You had me at shaak steaks." As they waited Reeza looked around, noting the different people around. All the same to her, fancy people with too many credits to spend and not enough to want to lose on something like charity. "So what's your story?" she asked Oka as they waited. "I mean how did you become a Jedi and all?"

At least he got something that she likes. Hearing her question about his story, he would gladly tell her. "Well... I was actually born with the force. My dad got me a bunch of books at ten and I read almost all of them, every word. They were books about the Jedi and the sith. When I grew older, twelve years old, I stumbled upon a ship and pressed a few buttons and it flew to a close planet to my home planet. On that planet, I was scared and I knew the force was my only weapon so I used it for survival. I read up about crafting lightsabers and how to make components. That's when j made a lightsaber from an only crystal on the planet. I trained for almost all of my early life until my dad found me. He said a sith lord killed my mother." he paused to clear his throat. "I joined the republic at twenty three if I remember correctly but left to join the Silver order after a couple years. Guess I just had to become a Jedi, using the force for my own needs would be bad if I didn't use it for good to." he finished looking around. The people in the restaurant looked greedy and selfish. Two things that angered Oka but he turned his attension back to Reeza. "How about you?"

As she listened to his story at first Reeza only nodded in understand of his situation. It wasn't until he talked about surviving on a planet and finding out his mother was killed by a Sith that she looked more sympathetic towards him. She knew the feeling of losing a parent, just not in that way. It was obviously more painful a process to deal with. But finally it came her turn and she sat up more straight to be clear when she talked.

"Nothing special, really. You see that Death Watch armor I have? It's an ancestral piece. Had some bad blood that lasted for a while and even when everything settled there were people who couldn't let go of the past. So I wanted to change that by joining the army and making something out of myself. Managed to go pretty far too. I was a lieutenant during the war on Courascant. I was....there when it fell. But despite that my commander had praised me enough to where I was offered a captain's position. But...I turned it down. See I met someone. Ferro. Another soldier like me, only not the same as the others. Two of us had a thing for a while before we retired and married. And we were stuck with each other for years until...well let's just say he made an idiot move and he lost more than he could afford. After that I settled on being a smuggler. Had the skills for it and knew it was a better life than sitting around and moping over past grievances. Besides, looking back, I don't think I could deal with being tied down to one place. Better to explore this galaxy and see what can be seen."

So she lost someone too. But a husband? "So that's where you get all those moves from." he joked. "Sorry bout your husband, we all make dumb moves every once in a while." he said sincerely. When you lose someone, you don't just lose them, you lose some of you. By the time Oka had got done talking, the water had just arrived along with all the other food. "I wonder how they make all this food."
